Dumbarton v Hibs, Sat 14 Jan, KO 3.00pm

I'd normally view this fixture as a potential 'banana skin' but must say, after watching Hibs 'pull off' a notable victory v their nearest challengers Dundee United, I'm expecting an improved 'top of the league' Cabbage team to cement that top position with a thoroughly professional job on the Sons. The threat is definitely there but I reckon Hibs will shrug off any complacency and will deal with anything that the Sons throw at them.
Lenny's team for this away fixture? I think it will resemble this one:-

Rocky
Gray McGregor Hanlon Stevo
Bartley
Humphrey Shinnie McGeouch
Cummings Boyle

It's time to push on and win this Championship! Let's do it! Thumb up

Dumbarton can be tricky on their own patch as utd found. Not taking this one lightly at all,we can't falter after friday so we need to go there and win to keep real pressure on utd.

Good test for the cabbage. After all the top of the table hype, full house of last weeks tie with Dundee United we will see how the team responds to a game with the Sons. Hopefully well and get the 3 points. As 0762 this would be a game of concern over the last few seasons , things have got better but unfortunately slight nagging doubts are still there.......being a Hibs fan I expect this is normal. Whistle

'mon Hibs

A narrow one nil win thanks to kris commons, but we will take it on that crap pitch and move on. Boyle once again missed numerous chances to seal the points for us and we had to ride our luck a bit at times....thankfully nade missed a great chance near the end.

We are pretty much 7 points clear with our goal difference now after utd drop points at home. Really hope we keep commons to the end of the season as he's been the difference in 2 games now but lennon didnae sound so confident. Although i quite like shinnie commons is definitely a cut above.

Very good three points, especially with DU slipping up at home!!!

How long have you got Commons for, isn't it a season long loan??

That's his loan period up on Monday SCO. HFC are working with Celtic Fc to extend his loan until the end of the season.
Fingers crossed something can be worked out Thumb up

The BBC guys seem to think commons will see out his contract at celtic and he's played his last game for us. Hope we can sort something out though,he has already made a significant contribution.

I expect he is hoping somebody comes in for him having proven his worth over a few games for us. Put himself in the shop window so will have his fingers crossed now. We could never match the wages he is on so will be looking down South I expect otherwise maybe a loan back to us come the end of January window if nothing happens. Certainly not going to get into the Celtic starting line up now.
