I'm really not convinced an international call up can ever be a slap in the face!!!! A slap in the face is when you get left out of the squad - as in Jordan Rhodes once again being left out by Strachan.

That's a fair point.
He's an excuse maker. Wallace should have bbe in a squad long before now. Even if he was playing lower league football, you only have to put him on the pitch with his peers to ascertain if he can reach the necessary level.
