Well after last weeks very satisfying result this match becomes a bit of a dead rubber in the whole scheme of things!! We are fixed in 6th position and have no control over anything else left to be decided. Having said that if we are able to keep a clean sheet then we would set a new club record for clean sheets in a season, and to me that is worth playing for in itself!!

This will be the 114th meeting with them with a not great record of W37 D30 L46, our away record is bloody awful though at W10 D13 L34 and over the last 10 games at their place we have W2 D4 L4, so as its been a season of improving these records, lets see if we can improve that one!!


THE LAST MATCH

Great crowd, great atmosphere and great performance!!! A worthy win in a game we needed to win but one which they needed to win even more!! It does seem we perform very well in pressure situations and in front of big crowds, and that bodes very well for what will surely be pressure games in the playoffs!!!




THE ROAD AHEAD

So with our win against Cardiff and Derby's draw against Brighton, we are confirmed as finishing in 6th place and will therefore play whichever team finishes 3rd. Congratulations to Burnley on gaining automatic promotion, probably the most consistent side for sure this season and now we can sit back and watch the other two auto hopefuls Boro and Brighton play each other to decide the other spot. From our perspective this is about the best scenario we could have hoped for, two teams hopefully going full pelt at each other, with all the blood and thunder that the Championship can offer!! Whoever loses in this one will have expended a ton of energy just to miss out and will hopefully be devastated as a consequence!!

The question is who do you want to face in the playoffs and why???? Please discuss!!

What a great season this has been. The contrast with last season is beyond words. It's actually a pleasure to go down to Hillsborough these days and I can't wait for next Friday.

I guess this final game of the regular season doesn't really matter but I'd love us to finish with a win and break the clean sheets record, so :-

you talk about the championsgip playoffs ms what about wednesday ? different animal which lost its last game and went up via the playoffs ! infact we only won about 2 games out of the last 6 

Seriously no alarm clock or special rituals like shaving cleaning the house washing the car or threantening the dogs with a trip to korea this game and it feels feffing fantastic   although im realy very nervous about the friday coming and plans are been made now there are no interuptions from any form of life   hopefully canada will lose its power supply before the game and we all can sleep in peace 


To the game and i think there is still a twist in this   its easy to say Borro will go up and i think most of us have planned out what will happen against Brighton   thats why i think Brighton might just turn this on its head and have us facing Borro   Which for me works better and worse in these ways ! 

Brighton will park the bus at Hillsborough and we will park it at there place leaving penaltys the outcome , also Brighton have been kicked in the balls big time this season and looked like they would drop off completly but they rubbed themselves down and realy showed big balls to be where they are now   which tells me that houghton has the dressing room well intact   so id say that makes them harder to win in the semi 


Borro or the kiddie fiddlers if you like   will not park the the bus at Hillsborough and lets face it they are no Mancity sorry Leicester city   also they have cracks in the dressing room and as form goes aprt from that wanker rhodes have been sleep walking through games getting draws a kick in the balls for them at home saturday could also take away there confindence at home which when friday comes around and goes could have us like that Arsenal game going up to that horrible shithole called teeside 3 goals to the good    although we will have to contend with 12 men when we go to that shithole though   so id say starngely this is the easier tie
