Plus any deal for Phillips involving Mcmanaman that was being muted about won't happen now.
Hes out for 4 -6 weeks again, what a waste Doh

Still don't understand why we got rid of both Mulumbu and Dorrans.

He could be a decent signing. Tough in the tackle and an all around good player, especially on loan. Gives us the chance to look at him for a few months without having to spend a big fee, then if we like what we see we have first choice in the summer. Overall quite pleasing.

But with Mcmanaman now out for a few months we NEED to be looking at a winger. If no one comes in then that's one less attacking threat than we have now, which is absolute zilch anyway. Come on Pulis we need a winger!!!!

So allegedly our ability to buy in this window is restricted by our high wage bill and the risk of breaching the FFP rules. We are in dire need of some creativity and goal scoring power and will be missing Macmanaman and Morrison for the next 6 weeks.
So we buy a defensive midfielder who will be on a high wage. I assume he can play at centre half if required?

On a plus note at least we won't have to think of a new song, just replace his name for Claudio....

You'll never get past Sandrooo, he's magic you know Laugh

Should turn out to be a good signing for us, plus if he doesn't impress during the loan I'm assuming there's no commitment to buy right now?

I wonder if there's any more in's and out's that might happen?

I would imagine any wages will be subsidised by QPR paying a share of it  Thumb up

But I agree i don't go along with this FFP nonsense, Norwich have bought another 5 in some for big money wages, even Bournemouth, Newcastle have spent £30 Million this window god knows how much on wages, Sunderland infact everybody below us barr the Villa  Big Grin are strengthening and not just by a little here and there either,
Allardyce has just been on sky and says he expects a lot more business before Monday    Doh

For example ......
Wahbi Khazri is on his way to Sunderland in an £8.5m deal, Bordeaux confirm http://tlks.pt/YAj8Hq #SAFC

Yeh, QPR were always big spenders in the last throws of this window too, weren't they? Whistle

I'm not saying we didn't need at least 1 creative soul coming in, because of the injuries we've now got, but IMO, generally this is a crap time to panic buy and bring more than 1 or 2 in; players very rarely gel instantly and for struggling clubs it's hardly ever the answer.
It'll be interesting to see how Newcastle fare in the next month or so. Spending like they have, in their position, is a huge gamble...

Sandro on loan is a good bit of business in my book. He's more of a box-to-box midfielder than Yacob or Morrison and would be a good person to have in alongside Fletch and Claudio - plus hes a better user of the ball than either of them in my book and I remember him getting a few goals at Spurs.

The other thing we shouldn't forget is that he is South American so could play an important role in linking Rondon in to the midfield and helping him settle down more. Not to mention that building a bit of South American contingent will help to give us a better chance in attracting players from there and Spain/Portugal.

Plus Morrison is injured and Gardner is no more than back up.

All-in-all I'd be very pleased with this.
