Really interesting. This is the damning bit:
"He [the chairman] knows that if the manager is given the money, he will only buy players that are brought to the club through his agent and, in the process, he will pocket a wacking great windfall through cuts of the transfer fee that he’ll split with his agent." I knew that Big Sam was notorious for this kind of corruption (let's call it what it is) but I didn't know Pulis was up to the same tricks. It might explain why he prefers domestic players at high transfer fees (going back to his time at Stoke as well). To that I would add this article from Pat Murphy, which claims that Peace is not too desperate to sell Berahino at the moment, as he reckons he can get decent compo for him even if he leaves on a Bosman in 18 months. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35378312

Fwiw the secret footballer is generally considered to be dave kitson. He didn't get on with pulis at all and his books are very revealing about him.
Also the 30m fee sounds over the top for Saido and the training well disagrees with the weight jibes. The rest sounds a lot like it's about albion and I have no idea who else it could be about.

I must be naive. I hadn't realised that Coaches/Managers behaved this way by only signing players through a sympathetic agent who is willing to share his 'cut'. Irrespective of whether its Sulko or not, it makes you wonder about the signing of Chester and McManaman, who he rarely plays and Rondon who hasn't done it for us as yet.
Could other backhanders be involved being a reason for so many square pegs in round holes? We all know that football is ,and probably still is, been rife with corruption but one didn't ever think it could be happening in B71 or could it ? Well spotted Harry.

No-one is immune mate ...... papers are full of corrupt practices, over priced contracts, back handers, look at refereeing, some of the decisions against us over the years are criminal, why not in our little corner of the world

Check this out then, 2001 but.. Well... http://www.theguardian.com/football/2001...are_btn_tw
Amazing you found that Guardian report Heavy. Seems Uncle Pulis isn't as squeaky clean as he likes to make out. It now would not surprise me one tiny bit if he's had his grubby fingers in the till when it comes to transfer activity. I wonder what the outcome of the trial was.
