I drive to games so don't go to the pub but several mates swear by the vine and the sportsman mate.
Thumb up

Thinking walk from New Street station to Snow Hill station and get tram to Hawthorns ?

Also the vine is fine for away fans, not sure about the sportsman but can find out if you need bud ?

Has to be the Vine for away fans, they are always made feel very welcome.  As suggested walk up to Snow Hill station from New St and get the tram to the Hawthorns.  From the Tram stop cross the tram line and follow the footpath along the side until you go under the first major road bridge then turn off and the Vine is about 5 minutes from there, ask anyone.  To get to the ground afterwards just follow the crowds allow 15 minutes for a leisurely stroll.

The Vine PH in West Brom, great atmosphere and great scoff. Just jump on the Tram and get off by the stop after the Hawtorns, I think its 'Kenrick Park' stop, the Vine is a very short walk off the tram.

Definitely The Vine is your best bet, brilliant food as well and away fan friendly.

What I would say though is that Snow Hill Metro stop is closed at the moment as they have only recently finished extending the line all the way up to New Street Station, but the best City Centre metro stop to get on at the moment is Bull Street.

Also the closest Metro Stop to The Vine is Kenrick Park. Literally round the corner.

You mean I have been walking all that way for nothing.  To be fair though I come in from the other direction by train so I would still have to get another tram from the Hawthorns if I did not walk, thank for the update though   Smile

It's been quite a long time since I last went in the vine so I wouldn't be 100% if they had BT Sports showing the early kickoff.

Me and a few others are thinking about going but after the Villa game I'm a bit hesitant.

The fanzone right next to the ground should be open and that'd be another option for watching the football as they should have the big screen up.

Vine is brilliant -but I think they have stopped subscribing to Sky and therefore maybe BT Sport. I went earlier this season and wanted to watch the Arsenal game (midday kick off) but no joy.
