Lindegaard
Chester Dawson McAuley Brunt
McManaman Gardner Morrison McClean
Roberts Rondon.
Subs: Myhill-Gk, Gamboa, Pocognoli, Yacob, Sessegnon, Nabi, Lambert.
I certainly wouldn't cup tie Berahino if we plan on selling him.

I agree that we should not Cup Tie Berahino. On that basis I'd keep Chester out of the squad as well. If he plays, or for that matter whoever is selected will have some degree of comfort re their future at the club.

I hope we put on a decent performance, coming down with my dad for the game and the last game we went to was Port Vale on a cold midweek night with possibly the worst performance I've ever seen from an Albion team!

We should have enough to win this but the problem is do we want to?
I get excited about every cup competition at the start but feel that I and other fans seem to value a cup run much more dearly than the Club, the Players or indeed the manager.
TP is reputed to like a Cup competition but his team selection more often that not suggests the opposite.

You can guarantee there'll be massive squad rotation with Chelsea away on the Wednesday and Southampton away on Saturday.
I'd love to see us have a good cup run and as long as we don't see Biscuitman starting in his defensive midfield cameo position like he did against Norwich in the League Cup, even our reserves should be strong enough to get past a struggling Bristol City.
There's a few players that we've not seen a great deal of and now's their chance; it's up to them to take it.

TP has to play a second string team in this one. For starters you have plenty of squad players who need to get 90 minutes under their belts and your second string side should be able to get the job done anyway. Secondly we have just gone through the festive matches and to give the first 11 about 10 days off could be crucial later in the season!!
Just for comparison, we play Fulham in the cup at Hillsborough on Saturday and we expect we will see probably as many as 9 changes to our team that played them last Saturday in the league!! It's all about priorities until maybe the 5th round, then the cup becomes more important!
