OK thats enough of that, although i seriously considered writing the whole think in german, mein Duetsche isnt as good as it used to be and far too much translating would be needed, quite frankly i just dont have the time

on saturday Huddersfield will travel to Sheffield for their second Yorkshire Derby in as many games. This one will prove just as tough, Wednesday currently sit in a very respectable 9th place just 4 points out of a playoff spot and they will be looking to close the gap, New owner Dejphon Chansiri has invested heavily over the summer bringing in several high figure players and new team manager Carlos Carvalhal,
The Owls have several players that are well known to town fan, mainly for all the wrong reasons, fernando forestieri, Rhoys Wiggins, and Lewis McCugan have all plagued Huddersfield in the past and of course the town faithfull will be reunited with former academy graduate , unofficial Nandos spokesman and helmet seller, Jack Hunt, wonder what kind of reception he'll get?

Among most Huddersfield fans right now there is actually a certain amount of cautious optimism, the installment of David Wagner as head coach is a risky move by the boardroom, but one that could pay dividends. although wagner has never been in charge of a real first team before he was the assistant to one of the most sough after and tactically adept coaches in the world right now. the hope is some of that experience will be used to turn town into an entertaining competitive football team
its no secret the Wagner prefers a high tempo, high pressing attacking style of football, something that has been lacking for years at town, common belief is that Wagner will favor players of ability rather that players with experience or reputation. there have been too many under performing players walking into the first 11 and i feel there are some going to get a real shock and some who were frozen out maybe could be brought in from the cold
Wagner will have had 2 weeks to work with most of the team, and with a week away in spain on a training/bonding trip you would feel by game time he will have a good idea what he is working with. but turning this team around will be a long process and patience is needed from the fans, as well as support from the board in the january window

Team News
Lynch will be back from his 1 games suspension but a question still remains over his fitness. Billing is expected to still be out with the foot injury sustained against leeds, its unfortunate for the young dane who had looked impressive the past few weeks. also unsure of involvement will be Huws and Davidson who are on international duty and will have missed the time with the team, before Wagner took over the reins they would have been sure starters but right now i just dont know.

Starting 11.
Honestly right now its anyones guess. Wagner will be putting out HIS team with HIS ideas and it will be the players who impressed him in training. thats why i am unsure of Huws or davidsons start. whatever the team is going to be, whatever happens over the rest of the season saturday will be the beginning of a very interesting journey

ACHTUNG
town fans heading to the ground, it might be a safe bet to give your self a some extra time and get there early, its probable there will be an increased security presence, and if you can live without it, leave any bags or flasks of bovril at home

I hope he throws three or four of the u21 side straight in at the deep end. Definitely start with Duane Holmes in midfield. Boyle at left back in place of the hopeless Australian. And why not Pyke and FloBo up top? They couldn't do any worse than Wells and Miller.

its a shame Billing is injured as hed been good the past few games

Holmes is certainly one who could find himself more involved, he certainly has ability.

Difficult to predict the starting line up with the new man at the helm, even more difficult to predict the formation.

Just a quick note for our Terrier fans based in the East Midlands, are you aware that they are trying to get a supporters group together for the area? If you're on Twitter contact them on @EMidsTerriers Or drop them a email at htsa.eastmids@gmail.com

Get with the program lads and ladesses. It should be Sheffield Quartafeira.

I think Jose's mate will get one up on Jurgen's.

I see we have committed more fouls than any other Championship outfit this season (213). However about 200 of them have been by Hutch who is suspended for this game so plenty of opportunity for the rest to catch up. Laugh

I'm on MNt's side of the pond again, so I'll try to follow the match from over here. It's another where you'd take a point at kick-off but really we need all three. Any hints on the lineup yet?

I thought we set off well, clearly instructed to pass it around and good pressing rocked Wendy. As usua,l no service to Wells feet so no chance of scoring. Deano warned for petty fouls and gobbing off 1st half so his subbing for Hogg was a good call.

Scanz took his goal from Dempseys cross well but seemed to be blowing out of his arse all 2nd just didnt have the desire to go at them , Carayol is neat but too many flicks for me and not direct enough, just too lightweight and we cant play with 2 wingers like that in our situation.

They made 3 big substitutions worth £s we threw Muzzy Wallace on as a 2nd second centre forward for 10 mins sums up where we are right now.

I'd rather the Wagner play a proper left back ( we now have 2) and Dempsey take the role Carayol started, but guess he doesnt know them all yet so cant expect too much.

What we cant ignore its we're a gnats whisker from the relegation zone with a tough run of fixtures on the horizon, when training midweek will be restricted by weather and climate, he's gonna have to have more tricks than Harry Houdini to get us out of this.

Murphy was injured when their chap followed thru his clearance and should have come off, made the stops but twice they followed up to ram it home from close range, at least 2 goal line headers, they had a 2nd and 3rd gear we dont. Lolley ran 20 yards should have let loose and shot , lost possesion and its 3 and curtains.

Unsure what the Town support was but appreciative for long periods, vocal, freezing cold afternoon and thought Wendy's lot were quiet for ages so we must have been unspectacularly dogged. never a 3-1 we just caught out on 92 mins and off everyone went as the parking is always shyte.
