Baggies to travel across the globe
ELEVEN Albion stars will be involved in international action for their nations over the October international break.


NORTHERN IRELAND

Jonny Evans, Chris Brunt and Gareth McAuley are part of the Northern Ireland squad hoping to clinch qualification for a major tournament for the first time since 1986.

Michael O’Neill’s side have a European Qualifying double-header, facing Greece at Windsor Park on Thursday (ko 7.45pm) before flying to Helsinki to play Finland on Sunday (ko 5pm).

One win will guarantee their place in France next summer at EURO 2016.


WALES

Another home nation requiring just one win to book their spot at EURO 2016 is Wales, who included James Chester in their squad.

Chris Coleman’s men also have a European Qualifying double-header to come.

They travel to Bosnia and Herzegovina on Saturday night (ko 7.45pm), before welcoming Andorra to Cardiff on Tuesday night (ko 7.45pm).

Wales last competed at a major tournament in 1958.


SCOTLAND

Midfield duo Darren Fletcher and James Morrison have been named In the Scotland squad for their games against Poland and Gibraltar in European Qualifying.

Morrison is banned for the Tartan Army’s home clash against Poland on Thursday night (ko 7.45pm), but should return when his side travel to Gibraltar on Sunday night (ko 7.45pm).

Scotland still have a slim chance of qualifying for EURO 2016, but they must win both games and hope that results go their way elsewhere in Group D.


REPUBLIC OF IRELAND

James McClean is with the Republic of Ireland, who still have a great chance of qualification for EURO 2016.

They take on World champions Germany in Dublin on Thursday night (ko 7.45pm), before travelling to Poland for what could be a winner-takes-all encounter on Sunday night (ko 7.45pm).

Ireland sit third in Group D, two points and one place behind Poland.


COSTA RICA

Cristian Gamboa is part of the Costa Rica squad who have two friendlies against South Africa and USA to look forward to.

The fixture with South Africa on Thursday night (ko 8pm) takes place in Liberia, Gamboa’s hometown.

His side will then travel to New Jersey for a match against USA on Tuesday evening (ko 6.30pm).


VENEZUELA

Club-record signing Salomon Rondon has been named in the Venezuela squad for their two opening FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

They face Paraguay at home in Puerto Ordaz on Thursday night (ko 10pm), before travelling to Fortaleza for a clash against five-time world champions Brazil on Wednesday morning (ko 2am).


BENIN

Stephane Sessegnon has been called up by Benin.

They travel to Brazzaville for a friendly with Congo on Wednesday.


GERMANY UNDER-21

Serge Gnabry is away with the Germany Under-21 squad for their EURO U21 Qualifying double-header in Group 7.

They face Finland in Essen on Friday evening (ko 5pm) and then travel to Torshavn to take on Faroe Islands on Tuesday evening (ko 5.30pm).
