Who said that Football was the sport of the working man.
Not only cannot the working man easily afford to pay the ticket price but, now he has to get time off work to follow his favourite team.
Some days I'm top dog, most days I'm just the lamp post.

This is one of the main reasons I didn't renew my season ticket this year. I can't make Monday nights and I was sick of missing games that got moved. Looks like my decision was vindicated.

as an emergency service worker I have always struggled to make weekend games, also living away from the area, every game is an away game, but I could still plan for certain games but even that is getting more difficult, I have to plan my annual leave for the year in October or the spaces for time off get used up, late game date changes along with short notice enforced overtime due to government cuts / staff shortages and I am lucky to make one game a year. Managed ASTLE day last year, great day for a great legend poor result though. I hate sky, the FA and the champions (also ran) league for making the game and hopes of glory out of the reach of the many true supporters of real clubs. Sorry went in too a rant there. Football should be a 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon pastime and a level playing field to boot.
