Nigel Pearson sacked
#1
Leicester City have announced that Nigel Pearson has been dismissed due to irreconcilable differences.

Wonder what's going on there; might guess that either he isn't being given the transfer pot he thinks he needs or, perhaps the Club won't allow him to buy certain players.

Can't but help think that it's a retrograde step for the Club who might now struggle next season.

In any case it's poor reward for Pearson turning it around, against all odds, at the end of last season.

Fantastic end to the season for Leicester and it does seem very hard on Pearson who did brilliantly to keep them up....but he has really gone down in my view for being a complete and utter Tw@t all season !

His PR isn't great at the best of times, and Leicester obviously think they can get a better manager who won't be relying on a run of late season form next season. The goings-on on the club's recent trip to Thailand won't have helped Pearson's cause either.

The phrase "Too big for his boots" comes to mind.

The BBC are reporting that the dismissal follows on from his son being sacked over the Thailand affair.

I bet his son is real proud of himself! Thumb down

Looking at the whole situation, Pearson's fairly abrasive nature wouldn't sit comfortably with the owners, who's country is normally associated with humility and gentleness. As well as they finished, it seems that they have put morality ahead of everything...... altho I quite like Pearson IMO. this is good to see

I thought we were unfortunate to go through the Odemwingie and Anelka debacles but it would be much worse if you had His Great Arrogance Nigel, despicable Son of Nigel and the twittering Bigears to deal with.

Presumably Bigears is a reference to Gary Lineker who was very scathing about the decision.

Lineker's ears aren't his worst feature......that pathetic attempt at facial hair is his worst. Give up, Gary.
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with
