SPFL2 (Championship) Saturday, 25/04/2015 : Rangers v Falkirk, KO 15:00 hours.

Come next Saturday, Rangers' points lead over Hibernian will be 4, 3, or 1, depending on the result of their match at Livingston on Wednesday.
As for our opponents, Falkirk need to win to retain their slim chance of a play-off placing. There are no easy matches !

Big game sat, hoping they are still on a high from the cup semi and we take a few goals off them.
If we can score early i can see us taking 3or 4 off them. Young Hardie has to start again , hopefully Gallagher features at some point.

Very important to win these last games and I expect McCall's line up and tactics to emphasise that.

Not that impressed with us in the first half hour. Really sloppy at the back a few times exacerbated by the usual 'McCulloch line' problem. Miller's been the weak link going forward and Law's getting careless.

Too many hopeful balls down the outside of the Falkirk right-back hoping the pace of our players down that side will compensate for lack of accuracy.

Half-time : Rangers 0-0 Falkirk

Are we poor or are Falkirk good ???

An unfair question really, it is a balanced game, end to end.

Well done to Cammy Bell for his point-blank save, the cross that led to it was textbook, low and hard from the wing into the box.
We had better be careful not to get caught out in this match.

SPFL2 (Championship) 25/04/2015 : Rangers 2-2 Falkirk

Rangers got out of gaol with a last minute goal by Nicky Law, although we had chances saved by both the woodwork and Falkirk's goalkeeeper. Fair play to Falkirk though, they played well and took their chances well too.
Overall it was a below par performance from Rangers today, too much aerial and long ball play, but with one stand out moment, not the goals scored, but a point blank save by Cammy Bell in the first half.
With Hibernian winning today Rangers drop to third and are behind on points and goal difference too.
Queen of the South won today and have secured the fourth play-off spot.

I hope McCall's list of potential signing targets includes a few that'll be happy to play in the Championship next season because there's just no way in hell we can get through the playoff. I don't believe we'll get past the first round of it even. That defence is still a disgrace, and if proof ever emerges that McCulloch does actually have a 'must play if fit' clause in his contract, he's going to become possibly the most hated player in our history, even above those who jumped ship in 2012. Of course it's questionable whether McCall will get the manager's job if we don't get promoted (and will he even deserve it?).

Story of your season summed up in one match!! Got to hope Falkirk can do you a favour next week and you can get a result at Tynecastle!! Do you think it matters a whole deal whether you finish 2nd or 3rd, aside from having to play 2 more games??
