An enduring legend, appreciated by all.

An officer and gentleman, a hero and a role model for both the genuinely gifted and the innumerous bereft.

For those of us lucky enough to remember his skills, his gallus cheek and imperial, majestic swagger, his memory will never be denied.

In time, people of today will remember Leo Messi as an absolute genius, and rightly so. For many of us, however, we have our Davie Cooper.

May his light never diminish.

Aye, he was simply the best.

Real down to earth home boy. Never even learned to drive. "He thought Clydebank was abroad."

A true Man of The People.

An absolute peach of a player pity his talents were wasted entertaining a shower of numbskulls RIP

David Cooper was not before my time in terms of years, but because he played before the arrival of the internet and streams, I have no memories of seeing David Cooper play.
His early death was tragic.

For the benefit (of me) and anyone else unfamiliar with his life story and playing career : Wiki - David "Davie" Cooper
