Leicester & QPR are gone for me.
Sadly I think the Villa will escape but I would love Burnley to survive as they remind me of us under Megson. Not good enough for the Prem but give 100%
Wouldn't be shocked to see Sunderland go...no great escape this year me thinks !

Agree  Thumb up
However, looking at Hull's remaining games, I reckon it could well be them that are DOOOOOOOOOOMED, Captain Mainwairing, not Sunderland  Confused

You haven't forgotten about our own last five matches have you Squirrel?

Hopefully, we will be well clear by then but, if not, it's still going to be one hell of a battle for us.

I don't subscribe to the fact that we are already safe but another couple of wins should do it especially if they are against QPR and Leicester.

SilverBaggie,
Nope they are still the last 5 fixtures from hell but we don't lose many games now. The days of losing 7-8 on the trot are gone.
TP will make sure no easing up or players on the beach before the end of the season so I honestly believe we are safe.
3 more pts makes it nailed on but I now look at those last 5 games thinking we may blood some noses.

I gotta admit until we reach 40 points I am still bricking it, anything can happen in this league and I too think The Foxes and QPR (whom I have hated since the 70's, QPR that is) are down but that leaves one more spot. I would love VILLA to go bye bye but that injury time pen against us as rejuvenated their season! Prob Sunderland for last spot but still want us to get those all important points.

Sunderland, having sacked Poyet at such a crucial time , have now appointed another foreign manager with no PL experience,
OK so Advocaaaaaat is experienced in other ways but I think they may rue this appointment and be competing with Hull for that last relegation place.

.......good news indeedy!! Blush

Drewks, hope you're right mate but a new manager normally brings new fortunes and they may suddenly do a Villa. IMO we still aren't safe and need those 7 points asap Huh

Agree with WorldClass - we look safe at the moment but look at those vile scutters.
My (vile supporting) ex-friend was resigned to the drop but has apparently perked up. (not spoken for 2 weeks)

Pulis, whatever you think of him, is making sure. We're still not out of it but, for anyone hurling abuse in his general direction, there's no one better at keeping us up.

The irony of clayheads shouting 'hoof' was soon apparent as they spent the majority of the game doing just that.

We're not safe but I can't see Pulis letting us fall. (and that feels pretty good)
I can go a step higher than Aston Villa
