Armand has gone on loan to Oxford United till the end of the season. There is a recall clause after 28 days.
I wonder if he's going on loan to get some experience or will he be released at the end of the season because his contract is up.
There is also a rumour going around that Drew will be leaving us at the end of the season and joining Plymouth permanently.

As regards Drew I can tell you a couple of weeks ago he was interviewed on Spotlight - West Country News. Talked about "the lads play-off chances" (Plymouth) in very fond terms, but did say he wouldn't be around to see it as his loan would be up. But he was clearly trying to make a very positive impression as a Plymouth, not a Chesterfield, player ......
Gnanduillet - leaves me baffled. If we wanted to reach the play-offs he has to be at least an option if not a first choice. It seems we are intent on letting him go, which as we have invested time and money in making him a forward a number of clubs have hated playing against ..... seems to say we'll cut our losses. Maybe his agent is a pain in the arse?
For me Gnanduillet would have been one of the first names on the sheet for tomorrow night. I feel a 0 coming on, but what do I know? I'd never have had Banks down to be one of our best men on Saturday. In my book he'd have been lucky to make the bench. In the end it's whatever Mr Cook makes work for us. And he's better at the job than me.

Banks is a good player and plays well when his confidence is high like Armand. I would like to keep all three but can't see it happening. Sheridan will want to sign Drew on a free when his contract is up in the summer. Armand will probably leave on a free. Jimmy Ryan has been offered a new contract several times and has been in talks but hasn't signed because rumour has it he's going to Sheffield United on a free because they were after him January. Morsy will be sold in the summer I reckon probably for £750,000 + add ons.

Are we keeping the ambulance and oxygen tent or are they travelling with him?

Probably the latter.

Just a guess but I think Gardner is the one Cookie wants to keep and he's probably ready for offloading Armand which is a shame as they have put a lot of time and effort into developing him.

It does look like all signs are pointing to Armand being released at the end of the season. Gboly signed a new contract. We signed Gboly unattached and he looks a promising player so we could sell him on for a fee in the near future. Signing unattached players and selling them on for a fee will bring our debt down.

This policy will also make us a stronger club as long as all or part of the transfer money is reinvested by DA and If we keep the magician that is Paul Cook .

Well it took Gardner three minutes to score for Tranmere whilst Oxford exercised Armand's bottom at Bury. Personally I'd like us to extend our investment in both into next season. If Gardner is a waste of time it is because he can't stay fit, not because he can't play. As for Armand, I don't think you can have too many French Ivorian Mario Balotelli lookalikes.
It is going to be about what size of squad we want next season and how we plan to use and develop it in view of the reserve team. It's good that Gboly got the chance to show his ability and is now secured unless someone produces real cash.
Has Talbot's loan been extended at Plymouth? I think yesterday was his last game wasnt' it and he did another full 90? And they like him.
See Doyle sat on the bench for a home defeat yesterday. I think unless Cardiff have the sense to play and play him they'll have bought the free-transfer player we started out with. They can't go down, so this is surely a chance to get games into him and see if what happened with us starts again once he's settled in ..... and they've bought themselves a real bargain. If they carry on like this they'll have made him a waste of money.
As Pooch says developing players from any level is the only course for us and that way maybe our Championship dreams can come true. Eibar made La Liga on crowds smaller than ours in a city smaller than Chesterfield.
