Levi scored two for Maidstone against Worthing. Worthing had been doing well, only a couple of points behind the league leaders, but they crashed 4-0 at Maidstone for whom Covolan also keeps goal.
Levi was MOM and made the Non-League Paper's team of the week. The second of his goals involved controlling the ball and volleying home, so he isn't just scoring tap-ins .....
Shame he isn't a centre back. We could hardly avoid signing him back on.

Isn't it funny how all players we released do better at other clubs.

I think Levi just needed time to grow into his ability.
He didn't do much for Blyth Spartans, but the move south seems to have worked.
Ricky German scored again for Chesham but they got beat.

Levi scored again to earn his side a point. He's now on 12 for the season.
Ricardo German banged in a hat trick. Big picture in the Non League Paper. I left Bob's Board because I thought there were lots of comments usually about him that were racist. Most of them used "fat" as a synonym for black. I'm afraid I had to smile to myself looking at his picture, because he is a big strong man now, and were he back full-time they would be attempting to shed some weight from him ..... but there's plenty of muscle in there too.

Top scorer Levi Amantchi was stretchered off with what looked like a serious lower leg injury after just seven minutes of Maidstone's tie with Barrow. However the National South side still managed to come back from a goal down to win 2-1 and reach the Third Round of the FA Cup.
Ricardo German scored again for Chesham United and is his league's top scorer at the moment.

Now signed for Bromley, apparently. They`ve triggered his release clause, which suggests they must rate him highly.
Why do I have this horrible feeling that giving up on him so prematurely is a mistake that`s going to come back and give us a serious bite on the bum.

Salts, some players just need to be given time. Progress isn't always a smooth upward curve. After we ditched Levi he struggled, so much so he couldn't hold down a place with Blyth Spartans. But we had seen glimpses of what he could do. Wasn't he 17 when we put him in the first team briefly? Unfortunately we lacked the organisation to further his development at that time. It sounds as though we now at least have recognised the importance of bringing youngsters all the way through, rather than creating potential Matlock Town players.
I would like us to have grabbed him back. I'm sure it is good move from Bromley, but whether it is an 8 points with two games in hand move remains to be seen. His history suggests that he needs to feel everything is right to show his best, and that might not be an immediate thing. I wish him every success but if Bromley are EFL-bound I hope it will be through the play-offs with Levi netting a penalty at Wembley to complete his hat trick.

A lot of the players that we have released from youth level have gone on to do alright or even play at a higher level, we could do with a reserve team again and to bring youth players through into the first team.
