The flip side is that he might have ended up going down the same road even if he'd stayed. They may make the move with dreams of fame and glory, but I expect their older, wiser family members are telling them to get a big payday nice and early, because it's a financial cushion if fickle footballing fate turns against them. And looking at it from their perspective, they're really not wrong.
