Well this is one of these fixtures that Hibs could've done without after another very poor performance v a "misfiring" AFC team that was a makeshift line-up as well. Anyway, it is what it is and, as stated in a previous thread, Hibs have a bizarre unbeaten home record v the Hoops that extends back for many years/footie seasons. We seem to deploy some kinda "tried n tested" game plan that works against them as each match plays out through the 90 mins. However, this will be a testy confrontation as they look like they've picked up a "head of steam" in the preceding 10 days. Porteous returns to our defence - a positive piece of good news!! Also note Celtic's form "on the road" is not that good in recent times - hardly won an away match and inconsistency fairly evident in that regard. Hibs need to "show up", that's for sure, and we'll see how the game plays out and develops through the 90 mins. I just hope Ross picks the proper starting line-up this time esp with a big Hibs support showing up to try and lift the boys. I'll certainly be there in the Exec Stand with "fingers crossed" that the guys add to this extraordinary home record v Celtic. C'mon Hibs, it's time to recover the decent form that impressed so many observers in the sports media/press. Lets do it and "take them on" on our own pitch!! I reckon this particular game will be a good one to watch.

I'm banking on JR first of all setting up a decent defensive line that is adequately protected by a better balanced mid formation than what he has fielded in recent games. There's no doubt in my mind that this game will be an "open game" that will be keenly contested - that's the way Ange generally plays out their matches. So we know what to expect. We need to contest this match on our flanks and, more importantly, in that crucial midfield area - gotta stay in the game for as long as poss, frustrate and keep them on edge on our own home pitch. Lets just hope some "scoring boots" return to certain players up front. Otherwise the best result I'd expect tomorrow night is a draw.

We'll probably play better against a better team, so we should have a chance. I certainly don't expect Plan B to make an appearance. We'll just flog Plan A to death no matter what. So, Jack, surprise us all and Celtic.

The good thing when sevco and smeltic come calling is that they both play an open game and don't sit in like all the other sides as obviously they believe that they are going to win and go for it. As has been said this will mean a more open game and give us more space but as has been pointed out we need our players to find their scoring touch.

Having said that I cannot see anything but a smeltic win.............................but give it a good go Hibs, please!

They play quite a risky style of football these days, it creates chances but they will make a mistake or two at the back as a result of that and we have to be able to capitalise.

I actually think it might be a good game but like newhaven i'm not optimistic of us getting a result.

Hibs 1 Celtic 3. Both defences were shaky but Celtic are generally clinical, we are not. At this rate I can see Ross gone before January, but who can we afford who could do any better?

Thats plenty now. Got absolutely drenched to the bone on the way home too.

That game was over after 20 mins, celtic passed us off the park 1st half and none of our midfield could cope with Rogic who ripped the pish until he went off injured. 2nd half we showed a bit more application and had a couple of good chances but it looked to me like they stepped off the pedal a bit too.

I'm not convinced these players are happy with Jack Ross and unless we get a grip we are heading out the top 6.
