Jeff King or Jo king?

Apparently we are in for Halifax defender Jeff King. What's your opinion. Reports of him were good.

Like last close season Halifax are shedding players. Earing has already gone to Walsall.

BUT last season Pete Wild re-built and kept his side in the promotion race all season. It'll say a lot for him if he can perform the same trick again.

Jeff King signed from Halifax. What a signing this is.

We are building a strong squad of players with different options.

After all the years of dross it finally looks like we are going for it

Well he's supposed to be good.

I'd like the most booked player in the league next - Matty Kosylo. Can you do that Mr Rowe?

I have a wager with a Mansfield fan, whichever of us gets promotion wins a bottle of champagne from the other. Do you rate my chances?

And now we have signed a much needed wide man in Calvin Miller from Harrogate. I suppose that means I won't get my wish of Matty Kosylo.

One complaint I can't make is that James Rowe is lazy.

Another striker next?

(I'm always surprised to learn there is such a thing as a Mansfield fan.)

I see Mark Little has signed for Yeovil. I always liked Mark Little.

Signed Jack Clarke as well. Is it to soon to get excited? Not felt this optimistic since the Cook era.

A lot of teams in the National are making good signings. I think it is going to be a harder division to win than EFL2.

Calm down Matt, you've got all July to get through yet.

Compared to last close season there is such a difference. Poor old Pembo, unable to make more than the odd signing, ownership of the club up in the air, his own position in doubt ........ It IS quite a while since we thought anything that changed was likely to be a positive move. Our new board's move in getting in a couple of experienced football voices to assist in the appointment of a new manager has to be our most significant move since Dave Allen stole Cookie from Accrington Stanley, which considering how the two clubs have fared since, I no longer feel bad about.

Clarke signs as well. He's one for the future.
Pleased about that. Nearly as pleased as the fact that that lying, cheating, hopeless piece of shit Matt Wankock has walked. Oh what a great day.

Right, so a bit dubious on the Matt Hancock front then Dancing?

It is certainly old-fashioned of me and typical of my attitude to the north / south abyss, but I do hope the two clubs getting up from the National represent two of the traditional footballing areas north of the Watford chasm. Chesterfield, Notts County, Stockport, Wrexham, Grimsby, Halifax ........ maybe Southend and Aldershot wouldn't mind waiting another season. And York, Chester and even dear old Darlo might battle it out for promotion from National North.
