Grant Smith who signed a new contract a few months ago has now left the club on a free transfer.
We've now lost 2 good keepers in Smith and Montgomery.

Left by mutual consent. There were obviously issues. Its not the first club he had a short tenure but nevertheless its strange.
Cant see that its for footballing reasons.

Maybe he wanted to be the No 1 and not the No 2. I think it was under Cook or Sheridan around 2012-13 when we had Tommy Lee and Richard O'Donnell. O'Donnell was too good to be a No 2 keeper.
Rumour has it Smith is off to Yeovil.

Stupid mistake in my opinion, but all managers make them, look at Gareth Southgate last night, or Steve Clarke against the Czechs.
If we end up with two good keepers it doesn't matter, but my one quibble with Mr Rowe seems to be you are either in or out with him and there's no way back. I'm betting that if Will Evans had scored us a last minute in the play-off final to get back to the EFL he'd still have been on his way.
But nobody ever accused Sir Alex Ferguson of being a nice man did they?

Good signing for them and Torquay's Brazilian goalie has signed for Port Vale - swapping the English Riviera for Stoke ............. as a town Torquay's on its way down, but not that far!
