After Fulham winning, and our needing three more wins than the 3 teams above us, is that it, a step too far?

Should we now be preparing for the Championship?

In all honesty, I think the game was up for us a few games ago. Fulham may only be a few points ahead of us but I think they’re light years ahead of us in approach and skill. I’d like to see them stay up in place of Newcastle who, let’s face, ste as awful as we are

I said 3 wins and not 2 wins and two draws as Fulham and Newcastle are 8pts ahead. And I know we've escaped before, but can we now this time, I think not unless Brighton Southampton blow up and we start winning.

We never look like winning but we do now look like we could struggle to a 0-0 draw. If the opposition scores we are buggered!

If we can get a 0-0 in every game left then that is the same as the magical 3 wins and a point!

All we need is for Fulham and Newcastle to lose every game remaining.

We're gone, though, aren't we.
Imagine we got to the last game in the same position as the Great Escape, needing to better the other results to stay up. Then I thought we might just do it (though I couldn't listen until the last couple of minutes).
Now with the current team, I'd be sure we couldn't.

.... the trouble is, it's almost IMPOSSIBLE to imagine getting to the last game with ANY sort of hope, BV! Blush

Are we now 'doomed' with only Newcastle being the only team we could catch as Fulham I think are safe and Brighton getting points. Huh
