I’ve just had the dubious pleasure of watching Chelsea v Man United. I don’t think I’ve seen a more boring game in my life. Sky and the pundits peddle the EPL as the greatest league in the world; I can only assume there are some really bad leagues across the planet. I’ve seen more excitement in a funeral home but too would be lead to believe that this was going to be an amazing game between two of the greatest teams in Europe. Jeez, I know we are pretty crap but there was more happening in five minutes of our game yesterday than in the whole 90 minutes at Stamford Bridge. It’s all very well to have technically gifted players who can turn on a sixpence (pre decimalisation analogy there, for those who can remember them!) and ping a ball 40 yards but the complete lack of urgency and activity in the box, honestly you could have taken the keepers off and replaced them with mannequins.
Am I being unfair or was that 90 minutes of my life I’ll never get back?

I do hate the Premiership. Apart from our games I've probably watched a total of maybe 2-3 hours of it in the last 5 years. The egotistical winkers, the cheating, the coached, predictable responses from Managers - sorry, Head Coaches..... it annoys me intensely just typing this!
What have they done with OUR football - the passion, the REAL blood-and-guts players, the loyalty, etc etc?
GO down to the Championship and more so to Leagues 1&2 and you'll still see glimpses of it, but the top level is spoilt. Poisoned.
Forever?
Hard to tell but I really hope that we can get REAL football back sometime.
