We can afford to keep getting him on the field for the first team now that he's got a contract. I'm sure bigger clubs will soon come sniffing. He just looked the part every time I saw clips of our Juniors. With Evans, Dennis, Wilkinson and German we could change our attacking options during a game and make it difficult for any opposition. Ricky pretty obviously can play against men as well as boys his own age.
The more I read about Ofoegbu, the keener I become. An athlete at school, top goal scorer, all-round sportsman, good physical specimen ..... all I can say is thank you Huddersfield. AND as a bonus these two are a bit behind Maguire in both age and the pecking order ....... I know I often see the negatives of a club for which Division One seems the peak of ambition, but these lads could represent reasons to be cheerful (part 3). I must also say the lads we have been giving a try-out in our reserves sound like real possibilities to me. I looked Shaun Okojie up ........ I think he was a schoolboy athlete too - he's banged goals in for Corinthian Casuals and Hitchin, he looks and sounds the part to me. Lelan sounds as though he was unlucky to be released by Northampton and Brewitt is a young centre back ...... at the moment we've got Hird, Evatt, a loanee who never leaves Burnley and a bloke we don't seem to fancy, so that leaves Maguire as the basis for the future back four, so Brewitt? Maybe Danny can achieve my dream for me ..... boot out the old pros and give us a dynamic team, average age 22? |
