The way we have been playing the last three or four years I will happily take eight points from six games ......keep up this average at we're looking at about fifty points. Worrying thing is ..... We have not played any of the real big boys ..... Everton are a top seven side but not really one of the main six. Still concerned for this season ..... roll on January.

Not exactly brilliant today (which is really becoming our catchphrase), but it would have been harsh on us if we'd lost that. Stoke are really incredibly poor, and obviously I wish we'd applied a bit more pressure to them, but hey ho. Eight points on the board, and we should be looking to add to that next week.

I'm warming to Rondon. Initially thought he would be piss poor in a pub team but I was wrong. He could be Regis of his generation given the right service.

Given the situation with SB, I wonder, on reflection, whether we were too hasty to let Ideye Brown leave.
I didn't think we gave him enough time to adjust to the Prem and like Rondon, given a season he might have developed into the striker we want to play alongside Salomon although maybe they were too alike in style. Certainly a better bet than Lambert.

I like the look of Nyom (more importantly, so will Pulis!.....quite solid and reliable - better than Galloway), and I keep forgetting how good Morrison is - he s/b 1st choice.
What about my post straight after the game, which nobody's commented on:
"F***ing pathetic! Free kick in their half 93rd minute, and all our defenders stayed back. I'm happy with point, but isn't it worth a 2/1 gamble?"
The back 4 must have been ordered to stay on the 1/2 way line by Pulis. He was so terrified of losing the 1 point (and being sacked) that he gave away (the chance of) 2 points to save his skin. We're going to have to scramble for 2 points here and there until May, and Stoke were probably very vulnerable for the last 30 seconds. The coward!
Does anyone agree with that bit of safety-first?
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with

Talksaft... you know my thoughts on Pulis' tactics - too defensively minded. It was the same in the away Sjoke fixture last season. They were down to 9 men after two red cards and what did we do ? park the bus once Rondon had scored and Sjoke were the better team from then on.
It will never be in Pulis' make up to attack anyone even if they are in a Sunday pub league but I agree with you Saft, we should have gone at them far more.
