Queen of the South v Hibs, 24 Sept, KO 3.00pm

We play QOS at hopefully an ideal time after they've just been thrashed 5-0 at Ibrox in last night's LC QF. Lets give them more of the same on their own patch and extend the misery as well as grab the top place in the Championship. Their defensive frailties were just as apparent as they were when Hibs threw away their League Cup tie v them at ER!!
I think Lenny has to go for the win with a positive line up and deal effectively with Dobbie, their striking kingpin who was a goal post's width off scoring a 'hat trick' last weekend. The challenge is there to win this match v a fairly average side with an obvious game plan TBF.

Lets hope Neil Lennon plays Martin Boyle against Hamill. I'm sure he would rip him to bits Boyle also scored twice in the Developement game so his confidence will be sky high.

Lets get at them early put them on the back foot press the ball high up the park keep them running after the ball lets just go and Fkcu them off the park and let them no were the team to fear.

Be interesting to see how sevco would have handled it with 10 men after that shocking challenge from Forrester went unpunished. Qots were creeping back into it. Big test for us and the boss.

Forrester given another ref reprieve AGAIN after one of his awfully dangerous tackles? Was the ref Craig Thomson by any chance? The same as the clear Rangers bias shown at Dens Park!!! i.e you don't send off one of their players if you can manage it for whatever bizarre reason that doesn't recognise set FIFA rules for offences on a footie pitch!!! I'd luv to see a Hibs player give that minnion, Hamill, a run a round for the full 90 mins and absolutely 'destroy him'! He's not a player I particularly like and I notice there were a lotta hibees felt the same way at ER when the guy was 'mince' from start to finish from RB to a changed LB position - how we didn't score the requied goals from that exposed weak position alone was baffling!

Hamill's a horrible wee bastard. But we are kidding ourselves on if we think its going to be easy at the weekend.

I'd concur with that view mainly because we are playing the Doonhamers on another shit artificial pitch that can be a bit of a 'leveller' when it comes to matches like this one. I hate these pitches being used in top class footie games and view the formal brokering of them as a convenient compromise by the SFA!! I think Hibs are a far superior side to anything that QOS can offer but we are not playing them on a grass pitch. However, we should be good enough to 'put them down' even on a shit artificial one. The 'trick' for Neil Lennon is picking the most suitable Hibs team to do the job. Marvin had an excellent mid performance before he was unfairly sent off last week. So he'll prob retain his defensive mid spot now that his red card has been rescinded yesterday. Dylan had a warming up stint with the youth dev team and came through that game unscathed. So he'll prob be in Hibs starting line up. I hope Lenny plays 'two up top' against this lot and poss Boyle who, as mentioned in another thread, also scored a brace for the youth dev team.
