Personally I haven't renewed my ticket for the last couple of years (TP's reign).
Prior to that I had a season ticket for 20 years, since I was 7 years old... However, the decision wasn't all based on TP. It was based on the poor running of the club for the last few years. In a nutshell, I feel like the board are taking the p*ss out of us fans. I was due to renew this year if we had a decent summer window, but it ended up being an even bigger joke than last year! I'm sure there are plenty others in the same boat. I know fans that have renewed who wished they hadn't on deadline day! So it could fall again... But that's not all because of TP, rather because of the woeful transfers (or lack of them). Now I'm not overly enamoured with TP's style, but I think there's more to an attendance than just who is in charge. Fans need to be excited by new players, players with pedigree, exciting players. Had we signed 2 or 3 players in the Chadli mould, I'd have renewed my ticket, but one wasn't enough... There's no doubt that TP's style is a bore, but so was Hodgson's and Irvine's. IMO the attendances are due to the fact that we all know there is more money in the league now but we're still spending pennies! People are fed up of us making no progress each and every year...

But we have this debate just about every year.
Has anybody got some detail on the Club's finances? A year ago we all seemed satisfied that since Peace took hold of the Club (2003?) the Club had spent every single penny that came into the Club, having drained our Bank a/c of about 20 on Vic/McManaman/Chester/McClean etc.......there was nothing left in the Bank.....so we could have gone down the Leeds/Wolves/Blues route and gone into big debt to gamble on finishing 8th (say) instead of 14th, which would have earned us an extra 10 on League placing. We could, however, have got relegated, costing us serious money, not to mention losing the goodwill and Season Ticket money of people like Slick (above). Gate money is pretty negligible (in 2014/15 it was £8m of our £96m Turnover, compared to Wages of £70m), so whilst the Club could have charged S/T holders 50% more over the Years, putting us on parity with most other Prem Clubs, I feel sure that gate receipts would not have given us any more "edge" - fair play to the Board for keeping the price down all these years - it is, after all a pretty impoverished part of the country. We don't really have much edge over any of our bottom-half rivals - tradition counts for nothing. We've gone over all these points on this and previous Forums, but I'd be interested to hear/read some full data since 2003 because people really believe that Peace is Scrooge, whilst most other Clubs of our size have admired and copied his blueprint for the 10th to 30th placed Clubs. (How he's spent the big money since Ashworth left is an entirely different matter!)
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with

An interesting list of attendances there, but I have to admit I'm amazed that number 4 is the match against Bolton in October 2010. That match came when we at the very height of our love-in with RDM after promotion, having just beaten Arsenal 3-2 at the Emirates a week or two earlier, riding high in the league and playing some damn good football to boot. I don't think the weather was all that bad at the time and the finances of your average fan can't have been too much worse then than they are right now. So why did we only scrape together 600 more fans for that fixture than for West Ham this weekend?
It's not just a one-off, either. I count five in the top 20 which were RDM matches to TP's six, and Pulis has already had three times as long in charge of us in the Prem! Seems to pose more questions than it answers, really.
