I know turn it round the post but no palms it right back across our goal and Muller nips in at the back post, that and the one he threw in too,he should never have been in goals at Italia 90 after being dropped for the FA cup final he was shot to bits after that.

Another bombshell from big eck too. Suggesting the Scotland v Italy qualifier may have been fixed.

"but we don't talk about these kind of things in Scotland"....aye very good.

The Scotland v Uruguay match looked as big a 'fix' with some highly questionable refereeing on absolutely brutal tackles that should've rendered Uruguay with about 8 players on the pitch and of course we would've qualified as well by humping them with superior numbers.

The thing about Uruguay game that still fuq's me off is the ref sends a player off after in the first ten then let's worst tackles go it was horrific refereeing

There was video footage of a Uruguay CB clearly giving an aggressive 'straight finger' gesture to the official - IMO a deserved straight red card but this official somehow decided to follow different FIFA rules of footie - highly suspicious IMO!

A discreet view of the player revolt from John Collins. I wonder what he felt like saying.
Cabbage is still good for you

Aye! That was a debatable period in our club's history. Loved the 5-1 CIS Cup final win in 2007! I attended that match with my sons and that was one of the best free-flowing attacking displays by Collins' Hibs team in a Hampden cup final! The slot that showed 'Sunshine on Leith' being chanted by massed ranks of the Hibs support was priceless but also refreshing to see this display untarnished by the sectarian shit that we are still observing in the Scottish game!
It was also nostalgic to see David Narey's 'toe poke' goal v Brazil in Seville during the World Cup '82. I was located behind the Brazil goal and had a great view of that shot - a euphoric moment but it was short-lived. But a lotta folk back home would never have realised how tortuous the hot humid conditions were for our players 100 deg fahrenheit in the evening and we were spectators in a sauna!! Try playing in that if you are not accustomed to it lol!
Presley's end comments were fitting - not producing good enough players and the league is not good enough either - we've been observing that deterioration for years!!!

I think collins meant well for hibs and wanted to improve the players and take them to another level, the way they behaved was pretty poor. Who knows what he might have achieved. I still regard JC as a hibs legend whatever,he is one of the best players the country has produced in modern times...if not the best.
