I agree that Roy is not right to develop the youngsters we have coming through, but then isn't this the job of their clubs?? The England managers job is to pick a team and get them playing to their strengths, I don't believe he has enough time with the players for fancy formations and tactics, let them play like they do for their clubs week in, week out.
