celtic through with 2 penalties despite an absolute shocker from craig gordon who gifted a goal to astana.

Hopefully the sheep can do the bizzo tomorrow as well.

Nae luck for the Dons: 1-0 for Maribor, Rooney missed a 1st half pk and down to 10 players early in the 2nd half + a last secs 'clanger' by the Dons' goalie! The 4th August 2016 and one Scottish Euro team already remains in the fray!! Nae surprise TBF!

Aberdeen so unlucky with as mickey Stewart called him ' a balloon of a ref',a missed Pk and a freak goal.

They really should have gone through....

In other news the team that put hertz oot got skelped.

IMO Maribor were 'no great shakes' compared with other previous Maribor sides that had turned over Scottish opponents. But they still did the job all the same. As for Hearts Maltese conquerors, they were piss poor and that embarrassing defeat was just another poor stat to add to their poor Euro footie exploits down the years.

in my humble opinion scottish teams (apart fae celtic) dinnae take europe seriously, they seem tae almost treat it as just a part o' pre-season. look at Hibs, going intae the 1st game wi' nae recognised 1st team keeper on the books and it was a GK error that seen us get knocked oot. it seems tae be like were no' gonnae win it so we cannae be bothered. how much money has going intae that game withoot a senior keeper cost us i wonder. rant over
