WBA vs Palace - Match Thread
#11
Hello chaps, so this is where you're all hiding, is it. Thanks to Baggie Man for the heads-up on this site. Palace is almost a must-win game and at the very least it's a must-not-lose game, just to keep the scoreboard ticking along and not get too close to the teams at the bottom. Our defence needs to stay alert, and our midfielders can help them by bossing things in the middle. The biggest worry is them scoring first then sitting back and catching us on the counter for a second. Hopefully we will play our football and break them down like we did Burnley.

I'd like to see Ideye up front with Saido playing in the hole just behind him.  Gamboa in for Wisdom to give us a little more attacking edge. With Sess too often going missing in games, put him of the bench to bring on if we aren't creating changes.
Baggies 3 - 1

:-)

Aries me old mate! Great to see you here on Sports Babble!   Smile

They are a good bunch of very knowledgeable lads on here but the only thing missing is a few Dingles to WUM and have banter with.

As you know, I got booted from JA606 due to me having the temerity to suggest JA606 was too inactive proven with zero articles or posts in one week recently. Maybe we can persuade a few more to give SB a try such as Alouion and Cox-in-the-Box, Kanga etc. Not sure if JH is on this site as some posts/articles seem to be in the JH mould.  Uncle Herbert, Puntit, Perton & Co would also be welcome but, we'd have to teach the Baggie lads on here some 'Dinglese' so they could understand what they post!

Lads, Aries is a great Baggie and enjoys a Pint 'n Pie in 'The Vine' pre-match when he's not teaching English in the Middle East. Not only a great Baggie fan but a very welcome and intelligent addition to these boards so, give him a big welcome!

Huh You want Saido moved out of his best and most natural position when he is on a great goalscoring run, Wisdom (who I was unsure about to start with) replaced even though he has been absolute quality in his last couple of games, and Sessegnon (who I've already posted the stat about us only winning games that he has started since he signed) replaced after scoring a wonder goal against one of the best teams in the country?

I really have to respectfully disagree with you there BaggieMan Undecided

Welcome back Aries!

Big game, the man United point will be almost for nothing, if we can't follow it up with 3 the weekend. A performance of the same ilk as we did on Monday night, and we should be fine.

3pts tomorrow would be great but no Warnock side is ever going to roll over is it !
Still, if we can get behind the team like on Monday I really fancy a win.
Agree with above comments that Berahino is on fire. I would start with same 11 that started against Man U. Can't drop Wisdom after a quality display. Think I remember reading that Gamboa can play right midfield so if we need a goal bring him on.

Stairs, that's such a great idea.....why don't we choose a game that most can go to, and meet up at the Vine at opening time before the game?! Name badges a must, obviously.
Let's do it!!! Confused
Maybe to get the most of us to do it would mean a separate thread? Anyone up for this???

I would be up for a friendly meet up with you guys. The only guys I know away from this site are Kris and Garry the Star Trekkie so it would be good to put faces to posters and see if you're all as ugly as I imagine you all to be. Whistle

I on the other hand have perfectly sculptured good looks with a bald head that glistens so beautifully in the sun. Rolleyes
As for tomorrow's game, I think we will win but it will be a tough game especially with how organised Palace are. The players and fans will need patience because it will tough to break them down but we should have enough to do it.

I see a tight 1-0 or 2-1 win for Albion.

You've got me on FB as well, you bald git Wink
Don't think I'd ever be able to make a pre-match meet up due to work... Unless I got lucky Laugh

As for the game tomorrow, I've got a good feeling we'll score a few, but also a feeling that we will concede... So I'm going for 3-1 to us (Y)
