League Cup 2016
#1
We commence (and will quite possibly conclude) this year's League Cup campaign away at Northampton.

Given our performances against lower league teams in the cup competitions these last couple of years, is this a banana skin in the making?

This whole competition is a banana skin!! Just look at the number of Championship sides that have gone out to lower league opponents over the past two days!! I don't know about all of them but we lost to Cambridge fielding a team that had 10 changes from the team that beat Villa on Sunday and no doubt from the team that will play at Norwich on Saturday!! Not sure how you achieve it, but this competition is not taken seriously by any team in the top 2 divisions until at least the quarter finals, and then the big boys play their first team to guarantee a euro slot just in case they screw up in the league. We won it in 1991 as a Division 2 team (and gained promotion in the same season), and we were the last team from outside the top flight to win it, yet this season we have a good chance of challenging at the top but now we are almost giddy with joy that we don't have this to distract us!!

Shouldn't that phrase now read "Ain't it 100m being a premiership club"!!! A 'grand" seems a little out of date!! Whistle

Anyone got any ideas on the best place for keeping up with the game tonight. None of the cup games are appearing on any of the normal stream sites.

Allow me to suggest "inside a hermetically-sealed room, in darkness, with wax plugs in your ears and a sack over your head."
