Brondby v Hibs

Our problem is the SFA couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.

We need a root and branch clear out at the SFA,the only 'Home' nation not to qualify for a major tournament in 20 years. And when was the last time an acknowledged world-class talent emerged through the youth system? How can they honestly say they are doing a good job ?

We need a defined strategy and real development. In recent weeks, Scotland's top two teams have lost to clubs from Gibraltar and Luxembourg and one has been eliminated by a semi pro Maltese club who don't even own a stadium. Something has to be done but i fear we are past the point of no return.

The SPFL are culpable too Jim,Donkeyaster is a disaster and how he ever got the job is beyond me,the SFA don't give a fuq they get there invite to all the big tournaments whilst we the paying punter are left with well very little

That's Maribor, a habitual destroyer of Scottish footie clubs, looks like it's on course to take out the Dons this time with a reasonable 1-1 draw last night at Pittodrie. I was hoping AFC would 'break the mould' v this Slovenian club but I had a hunch that Scottish footie success was not gonna happen in this case. The Dons still have a wee chance in the 2nd leg but I don't fancy them to do it.

Aberdeen have had some decent away results in Europe, they still have a chance.

Yep hibeejim. But that success is generally dictated by the quality of the opposing team. The side that the Dons played last night displayed some great moments of skill and pace that could well have 'put this tie to bed' on another day, a bit like Celtic's match in Kazakstan - the Hoops could well have been 2 or 3 goals down after an hour because their defence was an 'open door' up to the last secs of the game when another free header in front of goal was scorned by an opposition player.

celtic will finish the job at home i think, the dons tie lies in the 'balance' so to speak, but fingers crossed.

Rodgers will likely slot in Kolo Toure in the Hoops' defence. So that ploy should shore up that dodgy defence a wee bit.

Manager got a 5 match euro ban for his altercation with the 4th official.

Seems ludicrously harsh from where i was sitting and the club have appealed.
