Hibs v Birmingham City

In recent times, this is an unusual friendly fixture v English opposition and I believe the reason for that is the fact we have had some previous unwelcome fan clashes and subsequent negative publicity at similar fixtures. Hence avoidance has been favoured by Hibs board.
Re today's match, I think Lenny will rest quite a few players as he knows what they have to offer as the Championship season looms ever closer. I'd like to see him add in another reasonable striker and we can only wait and see if he manages to bring in that kinda player.

Lennon seemed to suggest in an interview there that once the keeper situation is sorted that might be us for now.

1:0 to Hibs, Keatings scoring in the 62nd minute from a tight angle.

I was surprised at how good our second team looked or how disjointed Birmingham were. Anyway some good performances from the younger players and a good confidence booster. Alan Stubbs was there , hopefully running an eye over Birmingham and not us! lol

Good to see James Keatings scoring another goal. I feel he'll be good for us during this season but I remain greedy and would like to add AN Other striker, a potentially prolific one, to join Cummings and big Holt, who will damage quite a few opposition defences once he is fully fit. I wanna see a free-scoring Championship winning season for Hibs!
Of course, I'm forgetting the addition of Jamie Insall to Hibs 1st team squad. I'd luv to see him 'do a Jamie Vardy' for Hibs but his goal stats, during his current Hibs development, don't indicate that he could be the prolific striker that we want.

Stubbs tended to be over reliant on certain players and played them all the time even when they were knackered.

It looks like we are using these games to see which of the kids we can use in the squad this season.
