Guiseley 6/7/16 7.45pm.

The Lions play at Nethermoor Park.

They've been around nearly as long as us, having been formed in 1909. Their best position was achieved when they won the Conference play-offs in 2014/15 to go into the National League. They survived this season and finished 20th. Unfortunately they sent FC Halifax down in the process. Our own Andy Holdsworth was with them from 2011 to 2015. They also have Oli Johnson in their ranks, who happens to be the son of a long-time colleague of mine from my Civil Service days. His mother and myself, amongst others, had many a night out in Wakefield.... Casanovas and Rooftop Gardens, etc , etc.... not that you'll be the slightest bit interested.  Doh

Oldham 16/7/16 3.00pm.

The Latics of course play at Boundary Park.

Languishing in League One, they finished 17th. They have amongst their ranks one Anthony Gerrard. Is he still abusing folk on Twitter? We've shared a few managers; Neil Warnock, Any Ritchie (whatever happened to?) and Mick Wadsworth. Any more?

On top of this we have apparently a tour of Sweden and Austria to look forward to.

Which player is most likely to go on the karaoke singing Abba numbers and which one is most likely to be seen out and about in lederhosen?

That'll be us next season....  Whistle

Or perhaps we'll be like Bayern Munich. Here they are in their lederhosen....

Obvioulsy, we'd have to wear blue and white shirts.

Fantastic that we've lined Liverpool up for pre-season and great news that we've already sold 27 Executive boxes at £400/500 a go.

But please, please, please will someone take the caffeine away from the merchandising team, T-shirts and mugs to commemorate a friendly......NOOOOOOOOOOOO!

the merchandising is beyond tinpot but at the same time the club has to generate revenue any way they can nowadays , and just about every club all over the world does it.

the local club over here sold half and half scarves ( something i absolutely hate) for a friendly with Swansea

I don't know what it is about 'half and half' scarves but every time I see someone wearing one I get the urge to call them a 'w@*ker'

I detest the bloody things!.

I know Town need to generate cash but how many of these t-shirts and mugs do they think they're going to sell. I bet the total profits wouldn't pay the wages of our lowest professional footballer for a day.

However, selling all the exec boxes at £400/500 a pop might just pay somebody a weeks wages and if they can fill the WRC at £50 each then that is decent profit
