I'm going to watch out of sheer intrigue. Yet again all I've read is over-hyped bullshit about granny Hodgson, teaching people to attack & defend. "Fresh blood" and all the rest of the great, British rhetoric. Now I want to see if the proof is in the pudding. It never had before. Either way I can see a 2-2 Draw here. I think this is about the least hyped England team for ages. No one even knows what team or formation will be put on the field. This could be good for us!!

Watching this Wales game, I'm wondering if the refs have just been told to book anything that looks slightly dangerous?

Refs are booking anything in blue in this game. Wales have gotten away with a few challenges that Slovakia have been pulled up for. Great free kick from Bale, and while they do have some other good players they, like Portugal, rely so much on one player!!! They gave a stat over here, Bale and Ramsey have 30 international goals between them, the rest of the team have 4, that is a telling stat.

I must be watching the same ESPN as you then, I heard the same statistic.
Quite startling really. They're a two man show and surely it can't last. The national team have come a long way for Wales though in recent years.

They qualified well and would have made it to the finals under the original number of teams, but boy they rely on Bale!!! Not sure you can mark him out of the game but as with Portugal they may never become as good a team as he is a player!!
What is the official role of the assistant refs on the goal lines?? Surely they are using goal line technology so what else is he there for??
