Stokesy released by Celtic!

Just announced that our Scottish Cup winning hero/legend has been released by the hoops! It's curious timing just when Lenny becomes Hibs new manager. Stokesy already coming back to ER or does he have another option that he fancies?

I would take him in a heartbeat. Especially as Lennon arguably got the best put of him at smellic.

As ever it comes down to money.

Hendo apparently holidaying in Ibiza with some of the guys and he'd certainly 'fit like a glove' when it comes to associating with Hibs again! I also don't think he'd have any issue re Lenny being in charge. It's over to Brendan Rodgers to decide where Hendo fits in at Celtic Park.

Correct guys I'd love the two players back at Easter Rd next season but if its true that our former manager AS is keen to take stokes to RUFC I think he will head there the wages on offer HFC could not match but Henderson would be perfect for another season long loan move.

HFC fans have made massive impressions on these 2 players hopefully there up for a fight and come back to help Lennon fight his corner and get us back in the SPL.

Personally I'd like to see the Polar Bear offered a contract to say with us he's also had his eyes opened up by our fantastic supporters

Lennon gave him his first team break at celtic.

I'd imagine he will go back out on loan again, i'd love to keep him on - good wee player.

Yip he goes south money was always going to be the winner in this scenario. HFC could not afford his wages but he's a hero in the eyes of HIBERNIAN FC supporters Good luck Stokesey

It's a 'Sparky scenario' eh! We can't compete with the wages on offer but he'll prob be back sooner, rather than later, when he can't 'do the biz' in such a competitive footie league.

Very true, bounce. I admittedly never wanted him at Easter Road, but he'll always be remembered for his brilliant Cup Final performance. What a fantastic way to end your Hibs career!
