Read that t'uther day. We're linked with Roma's sporting director, or the same sporting director Roma are after.

I'd assume we're looking for young European talent then? As that is primarily where his knowledge base would be.

It's only been a week and I'm getting fidgety as well, Imre. I want to forget abut last week and start looking at the future season, I truly believe we can achieve what Boro did last season with some savvy staff additions and players.

I'm only worried about losing Westwood, I know some others would rather not lose fessi. I'd rather not lose ANY of our spine in actuality but the problem is there's silly money around now. We're rich, but not ignorantly rich enough to haemorrhage money about.
That clause about Westwood for 2.5M is pennies.
I hope Westwood is happy where he is though he deserves to be a PL keeper

Westwood is number one at Wednesday. Does he want to be back competing for the number one slot at Boro?

He lives in Manchester so is more likely to be tempted by a team in that area.
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.

True, there is always that. I wouldn't see it as an issue for him as he's currently in a rich vein of form since his injury, I'm confident he'll be peppered in the Ireland goal, pulling off some fantastic saves.

He'd be Hull number 1. I can't see him making that move regardless. Would he be Boro's second choice necessarily?

Didn't Middlesbrough loan a keeper from Milan? I know they've got a keeper that used to play for real Madrid, Mejias. He can't get a sniff as there's no doubt Konstatopoulos is a quality keeper. If Boro were to take Westwood it might be wise to take Mejias from them in return?

As he lives in Manchester, as you say MS. If he was going to a PL team he'd be hard pressed to pass up any of local teams. He'd never get a game though. Just Cup games.

I'm crossing everything he stays, he's going to have a blinder at the euros I just know it.

hes number 2 by all accounts to the superior premier league Goalkeeper  Doh

i think he will stay and all will stay for next season they would be mad to leave when we know we are on the verge of what could be the best season since god knows when ? and Ireland like scotland and wales unlike England ? showing they dont give a xxxx what division your in as long as youre playing well you get picked !!

Season Tickets were put back on sale this week and the prices have been frozen at Early Bird prices, a very good move by DC. We have sold 15k so far which is about the same as last season and hopefully we will see more fans commit after the playoff final and especially after the scramble for tickets for those who didn't have one last season. I would like to think we can top 18k and maybe even 20k. Getting ST holders up to the levels that Derby, Brighton etc have is going to be crucial to continue to compete at the top of the Championship.

I hope Westwood stays and I think he/they will all stay for next season in line with what DC wants which is promotion. If it doesn't happen then it will be a case of the big names leaving for pl football.

5/6 quality players in should do it.
If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, you need a team....

CC seemed pretty nonchalant about it in interviews so far. Either just saying what is necessary at the time or confident he has money to spend regardless of whoever left.
Despite what happened I'm actually feeling pretty confident looking forward, we're not among the biggest names in the Champ next season, but we will be competing for promotion.

Even if were not going to see the influx of players some of us had hoped for, it's still going to be exciting knowing that the players we do sign are very likely to be quality, and not cast-offs.

Apparently we are in for Dan Druff from Ayr. He was head and shoulders above the rest of their league last season.

If that falls through CC is rumoured to have Alberto Balsam as a second choice  Cool

I just hope they can gel  Laugh
