Come on, Baggies. The one thing that unites us is our love of the Albion. Our support has been pretty wishy-washy the last couple of years, but the one thing that united us over the dismal 90s was our togetherness, even when we had some diabolical excuses for Managers. Let's get together next season and regain our Best Fans status whatever the performances, starting now on this forum.
Instead of name-calling, let's remember that we'm all BAGGIES!

Couldn't agree more but there's no chance of that happening on here right now.

I'm always an optimist and even I can't challenge the views of more negatively minded posters without being accused of bullying, or being stupid. It's grinding me down and I've had my fill of the negativity hence why I said I'm packing in posting.

I don't see anyone giving silver grief so obviously it's just me that isn't allowed to state that I'll be packing it in.

Blimey - didn't realise this thread would provoke all this fury!!

Some great posts here in the last 10 or so to try and unite us; let's ALL have a little more respect for other's opinions; let's never get personal except in a jovial way, and, as has been said, let's all reunite under the banner of this great club. That's why we're all here, after all Blush Thumb up Thumb up Thumb up

So Tibby, you say you are "packing in posting"
What if we used your own words that you said to Rainbow, "goodbye and good riddance"
Not nice is it ?

Just a thought but I think that this site could do with an injection of humour/non-Pulis related stuff to bring us back together. We all have our opinions on our current manager - mine should be well known by now - but I respect that other people may have different views and not see the anti-christ for what he is (that's meant as a joke by the way). I think that many of the perceived insults merely reflect the frustration we all feel at the moment and we should be able to accept them and move on....I'm sure that if we all met up for a drink we'd get on fine so why can't we do it on line?
As to my first point, is there any appetite for resurrecting the prediction league that I feel helped bring people here together?

It was actually cheerio and good riddance if you want to be a complete pedant about it. Those words were used in a completely different context (cheerio mainly because it has connection to football through chants - player sent off, fan kicked out etc). Rainbow said he rapidly losing interest in the Albion and I made the point of saying that's characteristic of a fair weather fan and a glory hunter and I've got no time for those whatsoever.

Pardon me for expressing my opinion which was one of disgust (which was stupid of me apparently?) at someone who's talking about turning their back on The Albion, the club I've grown up with and which has grown up with me, the established Premier League side we could only dream of being years ago; all because of the football not being as good as it could have been this season?

I lived in Leicester for 4 years and the amount of casual fans who were nowhere to be seen when they were in League 1 are all proudly wearing the shirt now - total glory hunters and it's sickening whilst all the media are kissing their arses as well. You will probably have seen the same in Stoke to some extent but obviously not because they've won the league as they've hardly kicked on massively with Hughes; despite spending a fortune on signing the Barca B team.

Where there's talk of supposedly forgetting our season under Clarke (which was the product of the stability instilled by Hodgson imo) I'd say there's some equally as guilty of forgetting the Mowbray masks and some fans literally celebrating our relegation before he then decided to f**k off to Celtic. That doesn't get spoken about on here very often and what short memories some must have.

All I can say is enjoy your free time on a Saturday, Sunday, Monday or whenever night Sky/BT decide to move our home fixtures now that you're packing in the season ticket. Whereas I'm going to carry on going to a handful of home and away games, gutted that I can't commit to the season ticket because of work arrangements. It's just the posting on here I will be packing in eventually, starting from now.

All the best to everyone whether you've enjoyed reading my posts or not. I'll still be up The Albion as much as possible, mostly in The Smethwick, equally as frustrated about Pulis as the next man but not boring everyone to sodding tears talking about nothing but that as well.

And remember, always SOTV!

Tibby, keep reading the forum and hopefully you will find a time when all has settled down that you feel you can post again. We are after all on one side.......

So losing interest in Albion under Pulis makes someone a glory hunter and fair weather fan??? Well I'm also losing interest in that I will not be renewing my season ticket this year after around 30 years. So that makes me a glory hunter who has travelled to Darlington, Hartlepool, Torquay and most places between, who kept a season ticket while living in the US for 2 years and was one of the few Baggies who drove to Ipswich the week after the Woking debacle...but because I can't stand Pulis's football I'm branded a glory hunter and fair weather fan.
And you complain about someone insulting you?

Time for a reality check here guys, time to take a deep breath sit back and look at all of this from a detached prospective.  Many of us have belonged to this forum and its predecessors for a good few years now.  You are allowing the posts of one person to destroy all of the camaraderie and banter built up over those years and lets be honest even Firey could not do that and his posts were even worse.

I appreciate people are stressed out with it all, as am I, the style of play, the management, the uncertainty over ownership and you guys decide to argue over Rainbow's posts, I suggest given the things I just listed there are far more interesting things we could be discussing and I suggest that we all put this behind us, forget what has been said as I am sure looking at it that some of the things which have been said were not meant in the way they have been perceived, even though I can also understand why they were taken that way.

Lets not let this matter destroy all we have built over the years and get on with moaning about us not bidding for Messi and Bale.

We are all Albion after all.  Peace dove Peace dove  Peace dove

Lads, it's the close season, so activity on here's bound to decrease while attention turns to cricket, golf, tennis and F1.
The transfer activity thread should be the busiest one of the lot.
Have a great summer.

Aries, I confess I opened the can of worms but I detest bullying in any form and the way Rainbow was being treated by some on here just because he held a different view to theirs, was unacceptable in my view choose how often and where Rainbow posted. Rather like JH and Pulisarus on another site.

I agree it's time to move on.
