Wouldn't surprise me if clubs in the Championship try and snap up Lee Novak.

So the retained list is out.
Drew Talbot, Chris Herd, Jordan Slew, Byron Harrison, Mani Dieseruvwe, Michael Onovwigun and Aaron Chapman have been released.
Rai Simons, Jake Orrell and Jake Beesley have been offered new deals.

So looking at the team we need a left back, possibly a right back, centre back, left-sided midfielder, central midfielder, striker and a keeper as cover for Tommy.

Looks like Ebanks-Blake is staying for another year.

Sorry about Drew, but a new club would be good for him.
My only worry is finding a replacement - a fit replacement.

Sounds like we don't need a replacement because O'Neil can play at RB and so can Beesley. I would have liked to have seen Drew being given another year at least.

That Omar Bogle looks a good striker he's just scored twice for Grimsby in the Conference playoff final. Did you once mention him Devon?

If O'Neil ever played three games in a row and Beesley had ever played I might agree.
Yes I suggested Omar Bogle when he was at Solihull Moors. He's not done badly at Grimsby, but not as well as expected. Trouble is when I suggested him he'd have come for almost nothing, now he's scored 2 in the final .........

You need to become the new scout Dev.
I think Danny said in an interview a few weeks ago 3 out and 6 in and instead its gone 7 out and looks like we need 7 in. I would have kept Drew for at least another year. There is talk that Barnsley are still interested, if Barnsley end up getting promoted via the playoffs and Drew signs then he will be playing Championship football while we are still in L1.

When we had Darikwa, Clucas and Doyle we had great flexibility. Talbot and Humphreys were all that remained of that versatility and now Drew is going.
We can only have a small squad, versatility gives you two players for one. Assuming Barnsley lose out to Millwall Drew would be a great signing for his home town club. A step up and I can't quite see it these days.
You only had to look at records to see Bogle was worth a gamble. If Grimsby keep their front two they'll trouble division two.
I want to see what steps we take to shore up our defence and to hear what happens about Sylvan Ebanks-Blake. If his wage lumbers us without an effective strike partner for Dennis we're in for another season of struggle.
My suggestion that Sam Cheney at Torquay might be worth an approach when he came out of contract They've given him a new contract so he might cost us. We should take a look and maybe a gamble on Welling and Kidderminster players. Relegated clubs don't have 11 crap players.
