Crap start. Conceded before 30 secs had passed. Still haven't broken our record for conceding though. Steer has been crocked. Young Lloyd Allinson has got his chance. Now's your moment, lad.

Well that didn't last long. Paterson equalised and then we let them straight back in. 1-2.

Blatantly off-side goal allowed. 1-3.

That said Lloyd could do with a bit more support from the defenders.

And again. 1-4.

1-5.

Think we'd have been better putting the U18's out than the shower that played the last two games. Gegengoneandgotforgottenhowtodoitpressen. Think we've a few with a future in League 1 next season.

Just showed today how bad we are facing balls over the top. No pace in defence. All five goals were one on ones with the keeper and but for some good stopping by young Ginner it could've been more. Alrighht, one of them went straight through him, but the poor kid must've been shell shocked.
We as always, showed some nice touches, looked good in patches, but Brentford were much better than us and that's the type of performance we should be aiming for.
Who the hell wound them up by the way? Did nobody tell them this was a friendly?

Just got back from cricket and read datm. We lost 5-1, awful result, awful performance and now you have braindead numpties saying sack the manager, get rid of every single player etc. I feel like you am when you drive, although i want to give a throttling to a few too.

it was a pointless game, we have 5/6 players leaving, we're having a big upheaval of players so we've been told by hoyle and wagner. We played for pride today and got none, whoopdifrickingdo basil, it means nothing, square root of bugger all.

Lets see who we bring in and what they look like, from what I've read of hefele and lowe then it could be interesting. Wagner has said that the players we're running on empty, okay fitness is poor atm, lets see what its like after a full preseason. People are slagging wagner off because the high pressing has gone as of late, but jeesh give me a break the mans hardly had a chance to have a good few weeks of solid training, what he's done is make do with what he's got and what he has isnt cracking, he's tried to get a tactic that suits what he has and at times its worked, but this summer is where he can really sort something.

If come oct/nov we are still getting 5-1 defeats consistently then we can worry, but forming and overwhelming opinion after a slow few weeks when we have nothing to play for, christ alive we have some shi8 fans, and I'm not being a happy clapper, I'm trying to be a realist, lets take it on what it is and not blow it out of proportion. Lets face it if we had won the last two games 9-1 on aggregate then these fans that are already digging graves ect would already be putting the blue and white bunting up ahead of next season.

Literally was about to post the exact same thing Jamez. Going on there is making my blood boil. I've literally questioned several fans if they are actual fans at all. I only went on it because this forum isn't anywhere near as frequent or active as datm but struth it's a lot more rational in comparison. Half of them haven't got a bloody clue about football and that worries me.

One post literally read 'After today's result we clearly need an english manager who understands english football'. Another read 'We wouldn't have lost these games 4-0 or 5-1 under Powell' and my favourite was the one complaining we didn't play a striker up front. Maybe because we didn't have any strikers available?!?!?!?! Also the RVP slating is through the roof already, loads of fans saying get rid of him and 750k to pay is a joke. I'm sorry but these fans haven't got two xxxx brain cells to rub together and they're probably all 20-30 years older than me which says a lot about how much they know about football.

Think we're in the same boat here elt. Some of the lads at cricket are town fans and we just laughed it off, purely because the result meant nothing and now we have a summer to work with.

These dicktards will probably have watched town in real dark times and to compare now to then shows exactly what you said, they have as many braincells as the sh**s i give about the game.

The only problem i have with everything is how ott people get on these things, maybe its drink, maybe its old age or maybe its just a sheer incompetence to see a picture bigger than a postage stamp. I mean come on seriously, yes it could be better but hell it could be way way worse.

Brighton finished 20th last season. A few good signings and they went to the last day in a promotion race...
