Our better performances have come without McClean in the starting line up so I just do not know why he`s been brought back
in, now we`re safe Pocognoli should always be getting a start at left back as he`s the only player on the books who can get a
decent cross in. I didn't have a problem with Pulis`s subs against Watford is its exactly what I`d of done but they needed to be
made much earlier.

As for Pulis, everyone knows what you will get with him, no relegation!! His football may not be pretty but it is effective and in the current football climate I personally think that staying in the Prem is worth more to JP than joining Villa in the Championship. For example, if he is genuinely looking for in vestment or to sell the club, good luck doing that and making a profit without the promise of Premier League football. I know you guys hate Stoke but when you look at his record there it is a model of consolidation, starting with getting them back to the Prem and then keeping them there. Sure Mark Hughes has taken them further but Pulis is the one who got them there and stabilized the club as a Premier League team. As I said, I think JP is thinking along those lines with you as well.
Surely we've done our time of 'consolidation' in the Premier League? Haven't we been there longer than Pulis 'consolidated' Stoke in this league before he was sacked? I suspect we're moving from 'consolidation' to stagnation.
Time to move on. There are better options available. Maybe the chance of relegation might rise marginally but so would the chance of finishing higher, playing creative players, playing younger players, playing left footed players on the left side, playing less than four (or five) centre backs in the team, playing in the FA Cup, playing in the League Cup and playing football.

Slight flaw in your argument .... Stoke consolidated with the same manager over a number of years .... same training same planning same tactics ..... it was not pretty but it worked.
We have had TP for 18 months hardly consolidation .... yes we have been top flight now for six years but how many managers, how many different playing styles, how many different training regimes, how many different transfer policies .... Where is the stability. I am not saying I am enjoying this season or our football but surely we need to have stability we need to have a little bit of continuity in playing, training, transfers etc.
We can not continue with the revolving door on the managers office ....

But one would only continue 'consolidation' under the same manager if the regime was leading the club in the right direction for the medium to long term....development of a playing style one wanted to keep for the long term, development of young players, development of a coherent effective transfer policy.
None of those exist under Pulis. Consolidation doing nothing more than surviving becomes stagnation

Sure I can see that but your consolidation in the Prem was almost undone by a couple of poor managerial decisions by JP in appointing Pepe Mel and Alan Irvine, so that consolidation needed to be renewed and Pulis was his choice to do that. There are very few teams who are virtually secure in their premier league status every season, one really bad year or a couple of bad managers on the trot and you are gone, ask Villa about how consolidated in the premier League they should have been!!

Pepe and Irvine WERE poor appointments, but you can't say thet their tenures contributed to our stagnation. Neither of them selected any players to recruit - that was done by Ashworth's successors (Garlick and Burton)

The bottom line is this.
YES we are still in the Premier league but I cannot remember a game in TP's tenure when the Hawthorns was rocking........... The Atmosphere is DIRE, the Football is DIRE, the fans have had enough.
I have a season ticket, its a long day and a lot of effort to go and watch this crap and I will not be bothering if he is still here next season because it's unwatchable.
On average we play well for one game in every seven or eight, it's RUBBISH and not worth my time, effort and money. I actually get angry with myself for feeling like this but I can't help it.
The premier league has a World wide audience and we are probably one of the most undesirable teams to watch and we are known to be dire with most TV pundits. A change is needed to show the true DNA of our football club, ie: fast flowing football.
