I have not made any comment on any of the recent goings on and to be fair I don't get time to post much anyway so unsure of how welcome my view will be but I'm going to give it anyway.
Firstly I never wanted to move site in the first place was perfectly happy where we were and felt a select few of the regular posters made the decision (probably fair enough) and the rest pretty much either had to follow suit or be left over on the old site. In regards to this site working better, it may well do I am a bit of a technophobe and only access this on my phone, can't see any like button on my phone and on the old site I could go in to a thread and click on last and it would take me to the end of the thread. This site does not seem to let me do this so have to scroll through from page 1 every time I log on which is a right pain when it's a long thread. As far as the freedom bit goes I'm not to fussed about not being able to say the 2 banned words or the lack of tits and arse's, however I think the whole thing has been handled pretty badly and unfortunately cannot see it ending well, I can't see everyone moving back to the old site and cannot see us all staying here either, I for one am bored of all the arguments and snipping (on both sides by the way) albeit that Imre may make his point in a more straightforward smack you in the face kind of way I sense some are knowingly pushing his buttons in a far more politically correct however no less obvious fashion. I have to say SCO putting Imre in to pre mod whatever the hell that is (some kind of silencing period I guess) with a view to calming the guy down I can only see having the opposite effect. As I see it the only way WE can all move forward as the happy group we once were is by moving site to a new site, ideally one we could create and fund ourselves that didn't rely on advertising funding hence we could do what we wanted and if people liked us they could join us and if they didn't who gives a shit. In regards to costs I have no idea what that looks like but I would be happy to stick in a few quid a year to help fund it as I'm sure most would if it meant we could stay together and keep the happy owls family alive. As I said I am a technophobe so don't know how possible this is but if not I fear this is the beginning of the end for life as we have known it. That's me done!!!

 and no one will properly move from here unless Bonner gets his act together on the old site (can't see that happening any time soon)Just before I forget, the F word is not really that bad of a word anymore. It's not even beeped out on tele anymore. That's hopefully my last say on it btw (although it wasn't the censorship peeving us)

Somerset, it doesn't matter how often you post, this is a forum and we are all entitled to have our say, right or wrong doesn't come into it, an opinion is allowed for all, just some choose to have one but not voice it.
So keep posting mate . . Anyway, I think we're gonna have a tough match Saturday but I also think the international break was rather timely for us as 1 or 2 were looking jaded and the squad is light I hope drenthe or hope gets a chance to start otherwise what's the point in them being here

We have been gradually losing numbers sinve BBC's 606 closed down. What happened to Bradway Owl & Brigg Owl who used to be prolific posters?
What we haven't done is pick up new posters. We have had lots of people view the New606 site but not many have joined. It seems we are getting people viewing on here as well but we are not going to get amy to join whilst the forum is full of bitterness & vitriole.

I was admin on new606 and we hadn't had any new members since May. This was because the email account stopped working when Bonner made the improvements to the site. This means that if someone tries to register or reset their password they can't. The reset was already broken and had been for months. That means unless someone could get in touch with me by any other means, I didn't know they were having problems. It also affected name changes too. For instance when Maddix wanted to change his name I had to do it. When chezzie couldn't log in, thankfully he could tell sco who asked me to sort it. This remains the problem with new606. I asked Bonner to sort it bty message and text so many times over these 4/5 months, none of which he replied to. This is why it is unworkable. At least we now have administration who can keep us on line and reply when there are administration issues.
