Who says they are going to be younger versions of what we already have ?
I don't get your point
Because saying that are you implying a ten years younger Ricky Lambert wouldn't score in the premiership ?
I beg to differ.

I just think that Pulis plays a certain way and picks players who will deliver that for him. That certain way is to play pretty narrow, have a combative midfield that will protect the defence, to give away very little and to try to score on the counterattack. Nothing wrong with the latter as Leicester have successfully deployed this all season. However, I would suggest there needs to be some creativity in all this and I'd don't see any in the players that Pulis selects. For whatever reason, Gnabry didn't feature at all, he brought Pritchard in during January and doesn't play him, he bought McManaman and doesn't play him. However, we have all bemoaned several times when he has selected a midfield of Fletcher, Yacob, Gardner and Sandro. Beefy, you may be right and he may buy younger , creative players but there is no evidence of that. When he does acquire them, like the players mentioned above, he doesn't play them which may also indicate his ability to identify creative players is poor. As regards Lambert, you're absolutely right that he would have scored goals ten years. However, Pulis signed him last year when he was clearly past it. What makes you think something similar won't be repeated next season?
Beefy, I really hope you're right and that I'm totally wrong, I would have no problem coming on here and owning up to that

We have to be honest here mate and say we really don't know who he is going to buy or even if he will be manager next season.
I'm not saying I'm right and you're wrong mate,
I just didn't understand the younger version of what we already have,
As I say I wouldn't mind a ten year younger Rickie Lambert .
Let's put it this way if Pulis says one thing about bringing in young athletic players and he doesn't deliver he will be blatantly lying then hung drawn and quartered

Beefy, I'd also love a ten years younger Lambert. Sadly, suspect he wouldn't sign for us. I'm sure Pulis will be manager next season so, as you say, lets see who he signs

Fair play to you, valpayne, but the simple answer to the OP's question is the two Watford games, Newcastle away, Villa at home, Swansea at home, and other games in which we've played hopeless football lacking in any proper intent, and too many games without a single shot on target.
Stay at home and save your money, keep your BP down and your frustrations in check.

We will not know what is happening, as usual, until it happens. What normally happens is that we are connected to numerous players but do nothing until the death throws of the transfer window - hopefully, this season, we will do business a little earlier. There are signs that we might be trying.
Extending the contracts of existing, elder statesmen, players is not a stupid thing. They do have a transfer value after all and if anyone comes sniffing for them we can demand a transfer fee. I guess that if the scouts find the younger versions then we might still offer them for sale despite the new contracts - it's sensible business steps.
We are safe, despite the maths suggesting we are not and I have no doubt (famous last words) that Tony Pulis will be our manager for next season. He has done an excellent job as far as a the person paying his wages is concerned and he has earned his bonus and has a right to prepare and build upon this season.
It might be a more glacial transformation rather than the revolution at Leicester but we are in the Premier League for another season, we have new Sky money to spend and there is a chance, a glimmer of hope, that we might field a younger and stronger team next season.
I have watched the Albion splutter, collapse, wow and display the odd flashes of brilliance over 50 years - for the youngster among us, that means this season has delivered an above average satisfaction rating!

I can't see any change to a 31st August stampede of action. If you were a decent striker for example, and Albion offered you a deal in June, wouldn't you rather wait to see if a more adventurous Club came sniffing in the next 2 months? I'm sure that any Agent worth his salt would offer that advice.
(Isn't it about time "The Window" was scrapped altogether?)
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with

I think signing Gmac for another year is good business. He's an enigma in so much as he's entered pro football quite late in life particularly prem football. It would seem very few work as hard as he does on his fitness and IMO he's the most reliable dedicated CB we have atm. Ollsson I'm sort of 50/50 about although if you heard/saw the spoof interview between him and gmac on the official WS it sounds like he was carrying a pretty painful foot injury for some considerable time and he's recently had an op to sort it out so fair play for not complaining about it and playing through the pain barrier. I've a lot of respect for ollsson and I guess he's earned another year with us but he would be my 2nd choice CB behind Evans not least because Gmac and Evans are international team mates.
As far as I can see its this LB position that needs seriously looking at and while were at it we need an RB to. If we identify and find two pacey LB RB players then that will put paid to the belief that TP only wants 4 CB's in defence once and for all. So CB's evans chester gmac and Ollsson 2 new LBs and 1 new RB with Daws
Then we really need to sort the striking shambles out. I think Ron will come good but anichebe and lambert cannot cut it at this level. You all know my feelings on Saddo I've really had enough of his antics and I think he's a bad influence on team morale and he's not scoring anymore. I'd say probably better let him go but after recent performances who would want him and how much would he fetch. Its typical isn't it? Leicester find Vardy we find Saddo Both been picked for england at some level or other both have bags of potential that only one is fulfilling right now and it aint the one playing for us. Frustrating in the extreme.
So for me we need 3 strikers and at least 2 proven at this level and 1 youngster with potential that doesn't want to leave when he scores a few goals.
I don't know what to say about the midfield to be honest we seem to have far too many of them but I say we need Morrison back desperately then i'd keep Sess Fletch Yacob Morrison (all first 11 for me,) then look for 2 creative wide players and think about 4 2 3 1 formation with yacob fletcher morrison central and sess wide right and new blood wide left as back up I'd keep gardner he does score some important goals has a wicked dead ball in him and gives 100% I'd keep Brunty to come off bench wise head good left foot total servant to the club (whoever threw that coin at him you need to be locked in the dressing room with the team for half an hour you prat) McClean divides opinion he gives 100% but his antics/politics wind people up and most on here say he lacks skill and ability I'm 50/50 but would only use him off bench when fresh legs are required cos he does have pace and will run at people
Sandro Mcman Pritchard I honestly don't know I've not seen enough to decide.
So to sum up:- 2 new left backs 1 new right back 2 new creative midfielders 1 defensive midfielder 3 strikers and for the love of god all of them need to be an improvement with ball control passing ability and some god damn goal threat. Over to JP TP and the recruitment team and please for the love of god lets get this done asap not at 11.59 on the last day as usual
