most o' the money fae scottish subscribers ends up in english fitba' the scottish deal is pathetic. i also think it would be fairer if all clubs in a division received the same share as they do in england. it could be argued that rangers or celtic wi' their bigger supports deserve more but it takes more than two clubs tae make a league and each club is as important as the next. it would also go some way tae making our game more competative, but i'm pretty sure the bigger clubs sense o' self preservation will make sure that disnae happen. purely my opinion of course

It's a fair opinion as far as I'm concerned. Makes the Milne decision to side with Celtic and keep the 10/2 voting structure even harder to understand. What a missed opportunity.

He saw Aberdeen filling the vacuum at the top left by the departure of Rangers from the top flight, and to be fair they've more or less come good on that for now. Definitely a self serving gamble at the time on his part though.

Premiership clubs do all get an even share of the commercial money to a point by the way. The rest is dependant on final position and incentivises teams to try to win games, even if they have nothing else to play for. Not sure it's the best distribution split at the moment, but it's more equitable than it would be if the TV companies distributed it directly to clubs.

Could be worse look at the Spanish clubs revenue split. It's so lopsided it's frightening.

Belated congratulations from me. I presume there will be lots of transfer activity this summer to prepare for next season.

Not sure there'll be lots of activity, but I expect the problem areas to be strengthened - defenders and a sitting midfielder. We'll need a bigger squad to cover for injuries and suspensions, our full backs have played virtually every game this season as there's no cover at all.

Getting ahead a little but I would imagine your first season back will be all about consolidation. You have beaten Prem teams this season so as you say just a bit of tweaking probably and then see where you are come the January window.

Back to Fred's rant, I am certainly not a glory hunter at SWFC, I would have to be about 90 years old to be accused of that!!! But I also do not attend games anymore due to geography. I was a season ticket holder from the mid 70s (in the Third division like Larry and Villa) until I moved Stateside in 2001 but since then I have averaged about 2 games a season, with none in the last 2 season!! To me a supporter of a club is someone who puts some money into the club, whether it be by buying merchandise (except in Rangers case as that doesn't add much!! Whistle ) or subscribing to the commentaries or like I do in part financing my parents season tickets. Doesn't matter what it is as every bit counts and helps. A fan to me is someone who says they follow a particular club but doesn't ever do anything to support the team in reality. I will let each of you decide which you are but most if not all remote posters on here fall into the first category, very few in the second.

Anybody in the UK with a tv license can claim to be a "supporter" if all that matters is putting in some cash: the bbc, whether through tv, radio or digital media, pay a lot of money to the sport and just about every club benefits from that.

MOTD, sportscene, bbc website etc all contribute to the income of clubs and many a mickle macks a muckle.
