It was Chester who got booked in the week, not Yacob.
Really ?
I did miss something then,
MOD clearly brought up Yacob was Yellowed and Misses next two games,
Mind you BBC eh ?

It was reported at a few different places that Yacob got booked at Leicester, plus it looked like him that got booked while watching the game live.
I'm thinking did the ref cock up with his report and put Chester down in the book by mistake?
Nice stroke of luck if so as Yacob was immense today and he played a big part in us keeping Man U quiet.
Brilliantly taken goal by Rondon as well, looks fitter and we've got a fantastic player on our hands with how he's adjusting to the prem now.
Boing boing!

Was hoping we'd win a bit more comfortably having played so long against 10, but then again, after watching a decent Spurs team hang on against 10 yesterday; was great to get the win.
Think we'd have probably been good for more goals if Sess was in good form as he plays a bit part in our ability to create, but he wasn't at the races today.
Although I haven't been TP's biggest fan in the past few months, but credit to him for sticking by Rondon. I was excited when we signed him because I remember the big, strong, fast striker who played for Malaga under Pellegrini. TP has stuck with him and now the lad is really starting to acclimatise and look the part.

On the Yacob booking it definitely was Yacob who committed the foul, then Chester walks across him.
Have a look "Click On The Second Half Tab" incident at 87:50 minutes game time 43:15 video time.

What is the punishment for fielding an ineligible player :-(

Bit of a mystery with this.
If you look at the line-up on BBC Sport it shows a yellow for Chester but in the Live Text a yellow for Yacob.

Only answer is if ref got name wrong somehow.

Apparently the FA are looking to overturn Todays result and award a 2-1 win to Manure because the referee killed a Manure player today.

Wouldn`t surprise me if they did........... DD
Ubique.

At the risk of claiming bias towards anything involving Man Ure that nice Mr Van Gaal seems to think that his players can do exactly what they want and not expect to get penalised:-
Van Gaal is quoted as saying:-
You can give the two bookings according to the rules but I think the referee needs to know the player who is doing that," added Van Gaal.
"The referee has to decide within one second but you know that Mata never hurts another player.
So the fact that Mata has never before been sent off, he should be considered exempt from such punishment.
What he really means is you can't penalise Man Ure players as they are above the law.
Thank God Fergie isn't still in charge or else the ref would have been hung, drawn and quartered.
Mind you bearing in mind who the ref was; we've had a few complaints of our own in the past.

I've certainly been a big critic of Rondon since he came, but yesterday he did what he can do best, which is throw his weight about. His touch and heading ability are poor, and so is his positioning. But having Berahino (or anyone!) around him seems to get the best out of him.
I'm hoping it's a confidence thing, and if we get the same 7/10 performance out of him every week we can be happy.
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with

My god this is harsh.
Rondon wins loads in the air - not least every single corner Man U put in yesterday and he's got a good touch, with good balance, a good shot, and pace for a big man. Not to mention his strength.
If yesterday is only a 7 out of 10 then no wonder you aint happy, get real mate.

Unbelievable? The hoodoo worked again thats at least 4 out of 5 times where I've been down the studio during a game unable to get a wifi signal and I emerge to find we've won. Had the pleasure of watching the full game on SS when I got home and I think it was a very fine performance all round. I won't write anymore otherwise baggiman will have to settle in with a cup of cocoa and his readers ;-)
