this is one of the games that shows how fickle fans can be, many of the fans on social media who under powell were saying , " i dont care if we win or not i just want a team that tries and show passion" are now the fans saying " possession and shots dont mean anything if you dont win"
this is the first game in 18 that we havent scored, they happen, thats football, the team is undoubtedly moving in the right direction, a little patience is needed

We are not that far off though, good times ahead and how often as a Town fan when you lose and win only 2 in 6 or 7 you are still looking forward to the future

Isn't that exactly what you normally get from Mick McCarthy teams?? Look at how many late winners they have scored this season in games where like this one they deserved nothing!! It's how he has always set up his teams and over the years just like Pulis it has invariably worked!!

I rarely take Twitter as a barometer for where we are or what our fans think. I'm very active on twitter with talking to a lot of fans who are pretty balanced but there's so many who jump on bandwagons the second we lose. This board seems to be a better judge so I read these comments from matches rather than twitter. It's gone down the drain as a place of rational thought in recent months.

Ah yes, fans forums, chat rooms, twatter and after match phone in's. The home domain of moaningus oldbastardus (or should that be oldbastardi?). It doesn't matter if it's Arsenal, Man U, the dingbats up the road or York City. Town fans have just as many members of this club as anyone and life membership of the moaningus oldbastardus club starts somewhere around mid-teens and goes up to any age still capable of pressing a few buttons on a keyboard or touch screen.
Of course - now the "we play boring, crap, sheeeeeite to watch football" issue has been answered, the abuse has to be pointed elsewhere, the bar has been moved a little higher and losing a match we probably should have won (like Saturday) is all the food they need to feed their ire.
With some Town fans, they always need a player to pick on as well as moaning that we can't beat every team on the planet every week because some so-and-so isn't fit to wear the shirt. There's always at least one one, always has been as long as I can remember and that goes way back before the keyboard warrior took centre stage. If we had 10 full Internationals with 30 caps minimum apiece on the pitch and we just signed the best player from League 2 and gave him his debut - guess who wouldn't be good enough for Town? Until next week when one of the Internationals will be in the firing line for missing a sitter or scoring an own goal.
Don't get too high after we win a few (the numpties see this as a sign we could get into the play-off's, if only Deano would spend another £50 million on a few overpriced mercenaries, but he won't, so sell up Deano you tight wad and let some Arab Bank like Leeds had take over and bankrupt us is their cry).
Don't get too low after a couple of defeats (cos this means to you know who that we are sleepwalking into a full blown relegation battle). I think Deano recognised and addressed that issue recently. I don't agree with everything he does, or doesn't do. We've had far too many managers while he's been in charge for a start, but his overall business plan for the club is OK. He's realised, eventually, that taking the fans for granted isn't the way to put bums on seats on a Saturday afternoon and done something positive about it for next season. That light bulb o that one apparently didn't come on soon enough in one office under the main stand. Let's hope Mr. Clibbens' replacement is a little more enlightened.
As for this season - we are heading for mid-table mediocrity again, which is a lot higher than the bookies were guessing at back in August. We likely won't get too many more bums on seats this season though. I'll take that this season and wherever we finish up I'll be watching Town next season, the season after and so on until something stops me - which won't be based on what division we are in. I've seen us in all of them that matter over the years and the bottom 2 in particular for far too many seasons, so why would I stop now?

Bastardus or bastardi, theo. Just like crocus and croci, both are viable options.
Oh and the point you were making.  Yes, it's Town fans all over, writing off Nahki Wells. 14 goals from 36 games this season is just not good enough. 
Another one coming in for flak is Harry the Bunn. Moan, moan, bloody moan!

Both players have been deserving of flack this season.
Wells 14 from 36...should really have been 20 already. Fair play the lad is improving but for me he isn't the player we thought we were getting.
Bunn is just too damned obvious at times, get the ball, runs at the defender, defender backs off, Harry cuts inside, Harry gets tackled.
