On the day when Hibs launch the first tranche of ticket sales for the upcoming League Cup final, it transpires that our national stadium is not fit to host this showpiece final - another SFA farce in the offing! It's a pity Hibs and Ross County officials could not call a halt to this organisational nightmare and subsequently approach the SRU to use the hybrid pitch at Murrayfield. Celtic's LC semi-final at Hampden v the Staggies already 'tripped the alarm bells' for many fans when it was clear that this pitch was in such disrepair and apparently it's even worse now because of the regular playing activities of Queens Park FC.

Yup,and its been a mess for a while.
This is the crux of the whole pitch debate. Just how shite we are at getting even a "half decent" grass surface available. Even at the very top of our game.
A lot of the current top flight surfaces are like cow fields.

It's just a complete dump,a complete disgrace of a national stadium,
Head south and look at Wemberley, which admittedly did have it's pitch probs in the early years following it's multi-million pound renewal, and it's now fairly impressive and accommodating.

That's no excuse Coop Hampden is a shithole top to bottom it's no fit to be called a national stadium.
