Confirmed - seven positional changes for today's match incl some forced changes. No Cummings or Stokes in the lineup. So one has to ask, "Is this a compromise or is Stubbs giving a game to certain players who wanna play to prove themselves for future big matches"? We'll see if Keats, Dagnall, Boyle and Carmichael can score the requisite goals in a transformed Hibs side.

Time for boyle, carmichael and dagnall to prove their worth.

5 mins and GOOAAAAALLLLL - Boyle does the biz from a great through pass from Hendo! Thumb up A great start and the Wasps have to come out of their defensive shell now.
40 mins - 2-0 and a1st Hibs goal for Carmichael! Clinical finishing today!

That will do nicely.

The 3-5-2 has worked a lot better today.

WTF has kris boyd got on his head ?

Tanner asking the alloa manager about if he had concerns for the safety of players on artificial surfaces  Laugh

For fucks sake.

Job done - although our finishing prevented us from a bigger margin of victory. Just didn't work out for dagnall or keats today. Alloa to their credit created 2 or 3 good chances as well though.

Henderson MOTM deservedly. Another superb performance.

Yep! Hendo's very good form continues and a deserved MOTM award! There were a few hairy moments when the Wasps threatened Hibs goal but their failure to score more or less confirmed the reason for their low goals stat! Job done and certain players possibly 'knocking on the door' for a cup final place.

Just back from the match and a more fired-up Hibs could have scored 5 or 6. Henderson did have an excellent game but the one who impresses me most is Bartley. He simply strolled through the game and but for a sliced shot on goal  Doh  , he must have been a candidate for MOTM. With 2 Alloa attackers against him, Bartley shepherded the one with the ball towards the left side of Hibs penalty area and when he tried to pass the ball to his unmarked teammate, Bartley executed a perfect block-tackle and strolled away with the ball at his feet. A vital interception.

A good win, though, and good game/player management from Stubbs, but it'll be a bit tougher against Morton in midweek.

More importantly, Hibs unbeaten run continues, the momentum continues and confidence is sky high. Rangers get their win v QOS this afternoon but apparently pinned back in their own half at the end of this match and very fortunate to get out of Dumfries with the 3 pts with a superb one-off goal by Kenny Miller that he'll never score again in a hundred matches or more - very fortuitous but good signs that they are gonna stumble on the run in. I'd like to see one more major injury to one of their key players, possibly Wallace or Tavernier, to see if they've still got the 'bottle' for an end of season scrap! Bring it on! Thumb up

I was also there today Ritchie and have to agree with you about Bartley.....superb game again.......looked a little lame just before he came off so hoping he is OK for Wednesday. That interception was vital at 2:0...... we could have started to panic a little if Alloa had pulled a goal back.

Staying up for the game on Wednesday so heres to another 3 points.....'mon Hibs
