I think both managers are football idealists who show a rigid adherence to their beliefs no matter the circumstances. The magic hat pish rangers fans throw in the direction of their manager isn't very different to the type of crazy adulation Deila was getting from the tims last season.

. . . or the same adulation Stubbs gets from Hibs fans. I don't see the problem - manager does well, fans adulate. Where's the issue?

Edit: I get your philosopher manager analogy, it makes sense sort of, but it's also the modern way. Mourinho stuck rigidly to his system, as does Klopp, LVG, Guardiola, MacInnes, Neilson and even Stubbs.

Modernity. Isn't it time we looked at it?

It's a media driven sport. Therefore no surprise re that kinda involvement but it's still down to personalities and egos. For example,  I think Stubbs is quite a shy person and meeting media people etc is all part n parcel of the job. The more successful you become, then the more popular with the media!

Difference is Ronny is stubborn to his own detriment. Warbs will tweak things if needed, Deila on the other hand can be read like a book. You can see that from Ambrose being picked week in week out regardless of form, Johannson should have been rested for his own sake , but Ronny says no. As for being cocky far from it, him staying means there is a realistic chance of catching them up.

It still bemuses me how John Collins has not had a bigger influence on Deila esp when the Hoops go through these 'mini crises' now n again. It just looks like he lets him 'get on with it' regardless of the consequences rather than sit and properly debate their options as manager and assistant coach.

Collins, and Kennedy are yes men picking up a wage. Either that or they are as clueless as him.

I'd agree he is picking up the wages without doing too much - a waste of his experience and knowledge.

The fact that they let henderson go out on loan suggests someone doesn't know what they are doing IMO. He was already breaking into the side before deila arrived.

I know he is only 19,but he is better than a lot of their current crop of midfielders. Its an odd decision especially since other youngsters there seem to be getting game time for the first team.

No complaining though!

When Aberdeen FC was playing and beating Celtic at Pittodrie a few weeks ago, Southampton FC was simultaneously battling out a 0-0 draw v the Gunners @ The Emirates Stadium with Forster, Wanyama and Van Dijk all playing very well - that's the real story re the mini crisis at Celtic Park and the fact the club/board were happy to take in a lotta money and lower the quality of the team. Deila is a victim of that selling policy but they know that the winning pts deficit may well be lowered from the usual 20+ pts but they'll still win the Scottish Premiership fairly comfortably albeit their season has not been a satisfactory one. I also notice the Dons' winger, Hayes, is out for weeks due to a nasty injury - that won't help their cause one jot!
