Yes we replaced Megson with Dave Jones, they haven't replaced Clement, they are letting the academy director look after things until the end of the season.  Hey it might work for them, just seems a very strange decision.

Yes it could work but we switched to an experienced manager in DJ and at a time when we were doing much better than the form they are in.  Like you let's hope they continue to struggle for a while longer.

On the subject of Walker, he is one of my favorite players, he was class in his time with us!!  But his son is in the Derby academy, probably one of the reasons why he went there.

We will have to disagree on him then.  For me he was one of the best CB we ever had, as was Pearson. Just out of curiosity what did Waddle win with us??  Winning trophies is rare for us and not really a fair gauge of how good or not an individual player was!!

i watched walker get skinned many times and many times have a knightmare game !! i never saw this happen to lyons smith pearson or madden ? maybe it wasnt his fault ? or maybe he wasnt a heroe like the mentioned ? he was techincally better than all but so was woods in the sme respect ? but like walker he was never a turner or a hodge or a bolder !!

and waddle was the greatest player that ever played for the club !! so your debate isnt going down the right tracks !! ive tried to exspalin honestly how i feel about the players who ive seen !! some do it for me more than others !!

Lyons was special ,not because he was that great but because when he dropped down a division he was a class above most other players!! It's a shame that these days players don't do that because some would excel in the Championship!! Liked Madden but he wouldn't get in my list, in fact I would have Shirtliffe ahead of him. Loved Mark Smith, no nonsense defender who played in three divisions for us.

Walker was a class above Pearson, Lyons etc. The best CB I've ever seen at Hillsborough.

My Dad likes Peter Swan.

Think this is largely comparing quality with affection towards the player. Walker wasn't a player that fans loved because he was naturally blessed with talent whereas defenders like Lyons, Pearson & Smith seemed to have to work harder to achieve what they achieved which made them more of a fans favourite.
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.
